Ryan handed me the ice cream cone and licked the trail flowing down his hand. He was engrossed, with the teddy in one hand and the ice cream in another. "It tastes...yumm...", he said relishing it. I couldn't help being drawn to him.
I tilted my head and kissed his lips, licking the cream on them. " yes. It definitely tastes so much better", I winked as I said. I saw the surprised look in his eye and his pupils dilate. His eyes were so beautiful like gemstones. I captured that moment in my heart.
For a moment it felt as if my world froze and the only thing I saw was the love in his eyes.
I began eating my cone and moving ahead in the direction of the rollercoaster ride. We sat beside each other. As soon as the safety belts were tightened, I began feeling nervous cause after the normal speedy turns, there was a steep slope. As the vehicle raced ahead, Ryan caught my hand tight and then all of us screamed as we traveled down. As the ride got over I saw the board of Dashing cars, and held Ryan's hand and ran over. We had fun. I hit his car more. So much for Ryan being an experienced driver.

He next chose the cup and saucer. I began feeling giddy as the ride started. I held his arm tight and rested my head on his shoulder. I couldn't walk straight as it ended because my head felt like it was spinning inside on its own.

We decided to rest for a while. He took me out to the beach. It felt amazing, walking barefoot on sand. I wanted to make sand castle and started building one. Ryan too jumped in. I was almost done giving it shape when a longer wave came and wiped away half of my castle with it. "I guess we cannot overlook the importance of fortification", mocked Ryan. I was pissed off at his remark. I took some water in my cupped palms and threw over him.

I saw the ' you better watch out ' look on his  face and decided to run. I ran ahead for what seemed like minutes and was trying to catch up on my breath. I looked behind, only to find no trace of Ryan. I just stood there for a moment, looking at the peaceful sea. Suddenly, I felt hands around me, picking me up and he screamed, " caught you" and I began screaming as well. Begging him to not drop me in water. That wasn't my punishment for sprinkling droplets of water.

He lifted me and kept walking ahead till he was knee-deep in water. I held him tight. He lowered me a little and my hold grew tighter. As I closed my eyes to embrace myself for the fall, I felt my legs dip in cool water. Wait... What? He didn't wanna throw me down?

That small gesture he did... Made me more aware of my surrounding. I could just feel water flowing by me and I was in the arms of the man I loved, waiting for sun to set ashore. Could life have been more perfect than this.

Then again, perfection scared me. I couldn't digest perfection well as it felt like a direct taunt to nature. I mean we all know what the maker of Titanic had claimed. I tried to shake my mind off this uneasy feeling and enjoy being there at the moment.

Ryan's POV

It was beautiful. Everything seemed well. I wish I had the ability to pause time. I walked back to the beach and put her down. I asked her to wait till I brought in the basket.

We straightened the mat, had some light refreshments and sat there. As the sun began to set, I held her hand and she leaned her head on my shoulder. I underestimated that the biggest happiness in the world is often hidden in the small things.

I turned and slept on her lap. She began playing with my hair and touching my face like I was a handsomely sculpted figure.
Her eyes looking radiant, cute nose, the pretty smile, her hair strand always running loose. All those expressions, I wish I could capture them all.

The voice of a man broke us from the trance. He passed out flyers to everyone there. There was a circus show and later a fireworks show too. I didn't wanna leave her company but I couldn't miss the excitement in her eyes. Thus we got up and went ahead to visit the circus counter for tickets.
She ran ahead and caught the seats. I was observing how she transformed into a child.

People began streaming in and as the crowd settled, the show began. They opened with musical trapeze acts. I respected their dedication and trust to perform whole heartedly. Then came ring master, clown and acrobats. It was gonna end but Riley was getting impatient.

POV end.

It was all amazing but those light refreshments filled my bladder and I couldn't control now. I told Ryan I needed to go out to find washroom and pee. He asked me whether he could help me out. But I insisted him to stay and describe the next act. I wished to ask those people how they seemed at ease looking like spitting fire. But taking a piss was important. After walking around I found a single toilet. As I relieved myself, I could hear people screaming. And then, seconds later I heard the fireworks go off. I was surprised and angry. I was gone for few minutes and they already ended the show and started fireworks???

I came out only to see smoke around and something burning bright in front of me.
It was the circus tent ...on fire!

A/N: What Ryan said is so true...we overlook the happiness that emerges from the small things. People forget how a small flower can actually change their mood.
And who cares for a fancy restaurant when the major part is spending quality time with each other.

Holy crap...tent on fire instead of fireworks?! Guess we need to cherish every moment while it lasts.

Stay tuned for more.
