Chapter 13

Ryan's POV

I told Ashley about the situation and asked her to inform Andrew and Marcus to take care while Tyler and I headed towards the parking lot. "There's hella lot of cars man...how will we find them?", Tyler screamed at me while running the way. I was trying to call Riley's cell but it was out of coverage area. But after a few rings, I heard a faint voice.

Voice: sixteen..

Me: Hello Riley, can you hear me?

Voice: G -16

Me: Hang in there, we're coming.

Tyler and I both ran towards the G range finding the 16th spot. I didn't think of anything except her. I just hoped she was fine. We reached the spot but no one was there. Tyler started to panic a bit but I tried to calm him down. Then something felt unusual when I looked the other side. A car had its trunk a bit open and I could see a piece of cloth stuck. I rushed in and opened the trunk. And she screamed aloud. It was Catherine.

Tyler: (Caught her and tried to pacify her) Cathy, dear its me, just calm down

Cathy: (crying so bad that she could barely speak) Riley...trouble...help

Ryan: (shocked) What happened Cathy? Where is she? Please tell me what happened... NOW!

Tyler: Calm down bro, she is also in shock.

Ryan: How can I be calm when she isn't here? (Lowering intensity of his tone) Please tell me what happened...I want to find her before its late.

Cathy: I was going behind Riley when two men started harassing me. She picked the stick to hit one of them and punched the other in his face. Took me and ran.

Tyler: I know she is one brave girl. What happened ahead?

Cathy: She hid me here and tried calling you all. But when she spoke loudly, they must have heard her. The 3rd man looked nothing less than a demon with a scar on his face.

Ryan:(more worried) Which way did she run?

Cathy pointed out the direction. I asked Tyler to stay with her and gather the other members while I went to search for Riley.

As they were coming nearby, I just closed my eyes hoping it to be a bad dream. After a few moments, their voices weren't audible. I opened my eyes to look around and was relieved to see that had left. I slowly got up to move and my bracelet got stuck in the hook. 'Damn this dangling bracelet, I hate such accessories'. I pulled it hard and it broke with its beads starting to fall out.

Voice: You need help with that, chic?

Me: (Almost scared to turn back) Shit!

One of the guy was standing right in front of me. I tried to run back but the other guy was just behind and he caught me. One tied my hands with his handkerchief and when I was trying to scream the guy shut my mouth with his hand. They started to pull me but when I refused to let go, he pulled out a knife. I had to walk to the place they were directing me. 

A mental conversation started in my mind. Was that scar face their leader or something? What will they do to me? Did anyone hear what I said on the call? Crap! Stop it ... And I murmured 'This can't be happening' One the guy said,"Wait till you see him." And he pushed the door to exit stairway. I tried to move my hands but instead my ring fell of.

Ryan's POV

I ran to check places in the parking lot trying to look for her. I stopped gasping for breath. I knew this wasn't helping. This parking lot is vast and maybe she has very less time. 

I need a plan. Just be calm and think. If someone was chasing me, what would I do? Run..that's natural...if tired, I would try to save my energy and hide. Now where can you hide? There wasn't anytime to check if any car was open so they're ruled out. Pillars or small spaced walls are easy to detect now what else ...I went to the end of the lot. Damn this water, what burst out? And I moved my head over to find a pipe outlet. Next to it was a big dustbin. It was big enough to hide a person. But why would she go to a stinky bin? I still felt the need to check but there wasn't anybody there. 

Where are you Riley? Please come back. I decided to check ahead. I happened to trip but balanced. And looked at some beads lying there. They were shiny and the colour...It's the same colour Kina gifted Riley to congratulate her. That means she was here. I looked around and saw some footprints due to the water. There were other marks crossing over too. Which way did she go?

The door flung open and I could see a shadow because the lights were dimmed. There was a man in the hood standing with two other men. I guess the hoodie man was their leader or something. He did a gesture and the men who were by his side brought a chair and rope. The next thing, I was tied up to the chair and trying to struggle.

Ryan's POV

I had a gut instinct to follow the footprints. They could be distinguished. There were two sets of broad prints which could be the two men Cathy described. And the one which is small and overlapping shows a bit of struggle, like someone was dragging them a little. This has to be them. I followed the marks and it dried near a double way. One side was the slope to second floor and another was an exit way. Where the hell did they go? 

My cell started buzzing. It was Tyler's call.

Tyler: Bro, where are you? Any clue about her?

Me: In here, looking for her.

Tyler: I have all of them gathered and we are searching the lot. Marcus and Kina are trying to get hold of the CCTV footage.

Me:(suddenly something glittery caught my eye. I went over near the exit door and found a ring) hmm

Tyler: what happened? Did you notice anything?

Me: Yeah, found a ring..I guess its a ladies ring. (I hear Ashley shout)

Ashley: Is it a silver butterfly ring? If it is, its her.

Me: Yeah it is the same. (It was a little powdery. I smelled it and was alarmed.) Tyler, listen carefully. I want you to call 911 with a backup and ask them to be here through the D spot exit way and if asked the situation tell them LDC emergency. Don't enter here alone.

Tyler: what are you doing? What's with the LDC thing?

Me: Just do as I say? And don't enter unless help arrives. Call them fast.

Tyler: OK

And I hung up. Before following the stairs I dropped in a message to an important person. And continued the work. Did they go up or down? 

POV end.

A/N: Omg! they found Riley and she is being taken at knife point somewhere. Did she get kidnapped or was the whole thing  planned. Ryan's presence of mind is helping him track the path but will he be able to track her in time or will he loose her? 

And the guy said wait till you meet him... how bad is he and who are these guys? Pray hope everything gets fine!
