When I dialed the number Taylor gave me, it showed Cathy's name on it. I was shocked. I screamed at her for doing this to me. She purposely made a plan and recorded the dance. And later gave it to Taylor. But I knew that Cathy couldn't have done it herself. She confessed as she was pretty drunk and said that he did for your sake.
Me: Who is he?
Cathy: But he did it for you..
Me: wait a minute ...Is he Ryan?
Cathy: Ryan wanted to remove your hatred for dancing..that's it.
Me: By playing such a mean game.
(Ryan entered by bringing drinks for all)
Ryan: Here are the drinks you all ordered. It was much rush in there.
Me: So, the arrogant Satan finally proved himself victorious right?
Ryan: What are you talking about?
Me:( throwing the drink on his face)
You son of b*tch ...you had made that plan.. right?
Ryan: What plan? Are you OK?
Me: ohh you...stop acting the nice guy part. You asked Cathy to leak the tape to Taylor, didn't you?
Ryan: But I did that to...
Me: Shut up and leave. Wait why will you leave? You're the mature guy here right? Let me just excuse myself from this so called celebration.
And I left the Disco and came running outside. Cathy came in behind and was yelling at me to stop.
My mind was flooding with thoughts...all this time I thought he was with me but he planned things out just to act like he cared. I was so angry...the pain was unbearable.
Just then I heard Cathy shouting, "Get off me! You scoundrel". And I turned around to see that two guys were troubling her. She was drunk and could barely balance herself well. I looked around and caught hold of a stick. I ran towards them and hit one guy with the stick and it broke. He fell down. The other guy was trying to pick Cathy up and I punched him in the face.
I grabbed Cathy and ran to parking area hoping for the security guard to be there. I found a car whose trunk was open and I pushed Cathy inside. I was sitting on the ground below and trying to call my friends. I tried calling them but it was just unreachable. I had just one bar for signal and I hit the call button. Marc's cell was ringing but no one was picking up. I saw another man roaming around with a knife and those two men whom I had hit earlier, joined him.
Just then he picked up the phone and I told him to help us. But I couldn't hear his voice so, I kind of raised my voice, " We are in Parking lot, Help!". And by that time the man saw me.
I slid the phone near Cathy and lowered the trunk and started running in the opposite direction.
Ryan's POV
It was great hanging out with her group and celebrating her outstanding performance at the test. Deep down I felt a bit guilty for pulling up an act. I went at the counter to order drinks for all. I couldn't forget the smile on her face. I took the drinks and went to our table.
The atmosphere had changed. Riley asked a question and I could feel anger in her voice. I patiently asked her what was that about. She picked a glass and threw the drink on my face and started yelling at me. The moment I feared, had come. She came to know I was behind the act. Never had I seen that fury in her eyes. Before I could explain myself, she left. And behind her, Cathy.
I sat down not believing what had just happened. Ashley,Andrew and Tyler understood my plight and said that what I had done was good for Riley but the way I did it was wrong. I had hurt her feelings. Marcus and Kina were angry at me. Andrew asked them to go pay the bill and decided to leave the place. We waited for them to come.
As there was a lot of rush, Ashley called Marcus on his cell but it flashed in front of me. I told her that he forgot it on the table. Andrew went to check on them. Meanwhile, Ashley was trying to call Cathy. She wasn't answering. It got me worried. But she said that Cathy must be having a talk with Riley and calming her down. Suddenly, Marc's cell started buzzing.
It was ringing constantly. The third time it rang, I picked up the phone. It was Riley's call. I couldn't hear anything for a while as the signal was weak. And I heard her saying "Parking lot, Help" and I got worried hearing that...I shouted hello many times but I could hear voices, like she dropped the phone and ran away and a few seconds later I heard a man scream, "There she is, catch her!".
My heart skipped a beat.
POV end.
The moment I caught that man's eye, a chill ran down my spine. I panicked and dropped the cell in the trunk. He yelled to his men to catch me, pointing at my direction. I couldn't hide there anymore or I could have exposed Cathy too. So I ran away.
They started running behind me. I was having all sorts of bad images flashing in front of me. It's crazy that however worst the situation gets our mind never runs out of imagination. I was trying to stop the rubbish thoughts in my mind and instead focus on the positive part that at least someone had picked up the phone. They would be out searching by now.
I found a trash can on the side and hid myself behind it. I was panting badly. Damn that bin...already it was stinky and with the water slowly flowing out from the waste pipe outlet, made it unbearable. But I had to hold in my breath. So, I distracted myself with stupid thoughts for the time being. But hearing those footsteps made my heart beat faster like it was gonna break the rib cage.
A/N: We can all understand Ryan's plight...he didn't mean bad for Riley. But anger gets the best of us doesn't it?
Some bad guys behind Cathy & Riley! Oh My! Why is it that when there is a grave emergency is there no range in the mobile or no one picking up call always!
What will happen next? Will she be successful in running away from them or will they find her?
