Aimee's POV
I just woke up in my comfortable bed. I slowly turned around slowly opening my eyes to the bright sun shining through my window.

I groaned and grabbed my phone. I unlocked to see the message that Ross has sent me like 15 minutes ago.

"YOU KISSED RYDEL?!" Is was the tech said. I shot straight up and immediately called Rydel.

"Oh. Hey Ai-"

"WHY THE FUDGE NUGGET DID YOU TELL ROSS THAT WE KISSED?!"

"What are you talking about?"

"ROSS KNOWS WE KISSED! HE JUST SENT ME A MESSAGE ABOUT IT!"

"WHAT THE HELL?! Okay. I'll talk to him!" She says, hanging up. I just sat there, not knowing what to say. What happens if he tells his family? What happens if he tells his fans?!

Sorry about that. I'm just really mad! How'd he find out!

"Aimee?" Connor asked, walking in snapping me out of thoughts. "Oh. Um...hey Con" I say, shortening his name a little like I always do.

"Are you okay? You look kind of pale" He says.

I faked a smiled. "Yea. Totally! Is mom home?"

"Yea"

That made me really smile. I ran downstairs. "MOMMY!" I yelled, giving her a great big hug. She laughs pulling away. "That's my favorite part of you. You're always acting like you're still a 5 year old! I can't believe you're 17!" She says.

I chuckled.

"Are you guys going to go to Stormie's?" She asked, flipping a pancake that she was making onto the plate. "No. We wanna hang with you" Connor smiled.

"Oh. I'm so sorry but I have to work again today" She says. "Again?" I asked, kind of disappointed. She sadly nods and I look down.

"Don't worry. What about this? Tomorrow I have off so maybe we could go to the beach tomorrow with the Lynch's. It is suppose to be really nice out. It's suppose to go up to 99 degrees and Stormie did ask me if we wanted to go and I told them that I'd ask you two!" She smiled, as she ate her pancakes.

"Sure!" Me and Connor says, giving each other high fives. Mom smiled looking at us. "Mom, can I ask you something?" I asked, sitting onto the counter chair.

She grins. "Sure"

"What happened to my dad?" I say. Her eyes widen. "I've gotta go! Bye!" She says, quickly giving me and Connor a kiss than running out of the house.

I looked at Connor with a "seriously" face. He just shrugged, sitting in front of me. "Aimee, I don't think mom is ready for you to know! I don't think she wants to even talk about it"

"But you know!" I say, and he just looked down. "YOU KNOW?! WHAT'S THE POINT IN HAVING A FAMILY WHEN WE KEEP SECRETS FROM EACH OTHER?!" I yelled, running out of the house.

I marched into Rydel's house and she smiled. "Hey Aimee!"

I faked a smiled.

"You okay? You look mad!" Rydel asked, looking at my angry face. "Because I am! What's the point in a family if they just keep secrets from each other?!" I asked, finally calming down.

"Sometimes telling your kids something isn't the easiest thing to do. Is this about your dad?" Stormie butted in. I slowly nod. "Come in my room" She says. Me and Rydel followed Stormie into her room.

We sat on the bed facing each other. "Listen Aimee. Sometimes it isn't meant for you to know things. Your mother will tell you when the time is right. But if she doesn't want to than she shouldn't. I'll admit that I think she should tell you because you have the right to know about your birth father but I also think she shouldn't tell you because your father made pretty bad decisions. He was a cruel person" Stormie says.

I gave her a weird glance. "How do you know all of this? How do you know about my father"

"Um...I'm just guessing. I gotta go!" She says, running out of the room quickly. I just glanced at Rydel.
