Aimee's POV
Me and Riker were just talking until we heard a door open. My eyes widened and he stood up. "Go hide in my room! Hurry!" I whispered yelled, pushing him towards the stairs.

He quietly runs up the stairs into my room as my mother approached me. "Hey!" She smiled. You could tell it was a fake smile.

"How'd it go?" I asked, not wanting to know the answer but knowing if I didn't know than it'll kill me.

"I'm sorry but they don't want you hanging around them anymore. Me and Stormie including Mark just got in a fight!" She says. I frowned nodding.

"I have a question" she says, throwing her purse on the table. "Yea?"

"Where's Riker?" She asked. My eyes widened. "What are you talking about? He isn't at his house?" I asked, playing dumb.

"No. I thought maybe he came here" she says. I feel bad for lying to my mom but I had no choice.

"How? He's not allowed to go near me either" I say, with a nasty tone. "Aimee, please be honest with me. I won't get mad" she begged.

I frowned nodding. "Yes he's here. He's hiding in my room!"

"Are you two dating now?" She smirked. That made me widened my eyes once again. "NO MOM!" I laughed.

She lets out a little laugh. "Okaaaaay. Anyways, he's welcomed here anytime. Okay Aimee? I know this is probably a bad thing to do but you two are going have to sneak around and make sure the Lynch's won't see you" she says. That made my day better.

I hugged her and cried happy tears. "Thanks so much mom!"

"No problem. Not get your butt upstairs and tell your not so called boyfriend!" She says. I rolled my eyes and ran upstairs.

I opened my door to see Riker holding a picture frame. He turned around as I closed my bedroom door.

"Who's this?" He asked, holding up a picture frame with me and my best friend at the beach in the ocean and we were laying down and we made a heart with each other's hands and there was a huge wave behind us. We were 8 years old.

That's when my eyes got watery remembering that day. "That's my best friend Leanna!" I say, faking a smile.

"Oh. Why don't you talk about her that much?" He asked, putting the picture down. "I have great news. My mom is allowing us to hang out. We still have to keep it a secret from your family!" I say, avoiding his question.

He was confused for a minute but decided to not talk about it because I was getting uncomfortable. He hugged me smiling. "That's great!"

I let tears slip quietly. He was about to pull away until I pulled him closer and held onto him tighter not letting him go.
