The same night, while Kristen is sleeping soundly, hungry and emotionally exhausted, the lights in Jules and John's bedroom are still on.
"I'm telling you, John, there's something wrong with Kristen!" , Jules whisper-shouts, afraid to wake up the children.
"Honey, you're overreacting. She is growing up! Just because she doesn't want to speak to you right now, that doesn't mean it will be forever," John whispers, trying to convince his wife that it's just a part of growing up. "You know how it was with Cameron."
Jules frowns. "How long do we have to wait? Till she's 16? 17? Something is going on and I don't want to wait until something bad happens to our child!"
John has had enough. "Jules, stop it!"
The atmosphere in the room tenses. The parents are not going to sleep well, it seems so, especially Jules. She's desperate to learn what is going on with her dearest little girl.
