On her last day of school, Kristen is the only one who's crying and everybody wants to know why.
Nobody is aware of the fact that she won't be joining her classmates for the next school year.
Kristen has tried to threaten her parents. But everything has already been settled. She will be starting grade eight in August via correspondence. She is meeting her new tutor soon. And she isn't excited about it.
Before Kristen leaves the school that day, she says goodbye to her favorite teacher and receives her yearbook. She is curious to see if anyone has signed it.
Nobody.
Of course.
And her photo is terrible. She is grinning too wide, her hair is in a ponytail and she is wearing a hoodie. But it's not her fault that her photo has been taken during P.E. class.
What a lovely way to quit school!
