Kristen's mother punishes her for shaving her legs and misbehaving. If not feeling that comfortable talking to her parents counts as misbehaving.
Kristen has to clean her house till pristine. Her parents will be absent this weekend because of work. And no, she can't slack off. She cannot let herself slack off anymore and betray family members.
So she decides to change.
The whole weekend she spends it cleaning the house. And when she's finally done, it's 8PM on Sunday and she hasn't even started on her homework. She has an essay due Monday and an important test.
When Kristen sits down to study for the next day, her back is sore and everything hurts. But she pushes herself harder to finish everything. To prove that she can do it. If her classmates can excel in school, then she can too.
