Audition after audition and Kristen finally gets a new part. It feels like ages since she has acted in a movie.
She is aching to work. She is dreaming about movie sets and learning lines, trying on costumes and makeup.
Ah, makeup!
The only friend who never betrays her!
Without it, she will never be beautiful.
The mascara making her lashes longer; the lip balm smoothing her usually chapped lips. Makeup can turn her tired, ugly face into a more decent looking one.
No blemishes, no freckles, no bags under her eyes . . .
Kristen will be playing a rape victim. She doesn't know how to feel about this. She has read the book on which the movie project is based on, but she feels like her parents don't approve of the project.
Still. She wants that part. She wants to show the world her acting abilities.
She knows she can do it.
