Imagine what would it be like for you to hear your parents yell at each other that they want a divorce. Imagine hearing this the day before high school starts.
It's not like Kristen's going anyways.
She hasn't been to public school in a year.
She is secluded from the outside world, stuck in her own bubble, where only bad things happen.
And she can't do anything to prevent it.
Just like she can't help her parents, she can't make them stop arguing.
"I want divorce!" , John yells.
"So do I!", Jules shouts back, making Kristen gasp.

What they don't know is that their daughter has been standing in the hallway through the whole time.
When they turn around, hearing her gasp, she is already in tears, running to the bathroom.
They both follow her, running as fast as they can to catch up with her.
But it's too late.
Kristen has already locked the bathroom.
The only sound that can be heard is water running.
