Jaymee Viola Patterson

I sat at the head of the bed, watching as Zion stood at the end, getting dressed. I ran my fingers through my messy hair. He looked over his bare shoulder at me before smirking. I lightly smiled back. He turned all the way around, keeping eye contact with me. His phone began to ring, making both of our eyes snap towards it. He stretched his arm, bringing it with him.

"Hello?" His deep voice bellowed out.

A lighter female voice rang through the speaker, making me roll my eyes. I ripped the covers off of my legs and pulled my silk robe onto my shoulders. I tied the knot and went to stomp past him. He grabbed my arm and swung me so that I landed on the bed. His eyebrow was raised as he watched me. I kicked him in his side, making him chuckle.

"I'll be there in a few, P." He smiled.

I left out the room and went into the kitchen. I was hungry after rolling around in the bed for 3 hours. I pulled out stuff and set it on the counter. Hands wrapped around my shoulder from the front and a kiss was set in the middle of my head.

"Move." I said as I stepped from his embrace.

"Come walk me to the door." He told me.

He turned and walked out the door as I followed him. When we got to the door, he turned around and looked down at me.

"I'll see you later?" He asked.

I nodded and sighed. He pulled me into a hug. I took in his scent before stepping back.

"Bye." I said.

"I love you, Jaymee." He said.

"Mmhmm." I said as I closed the door.

I went back into the kitchen, preparing to get started on something to eat. A knock came on my door. I opened it, seeing my best friend, Laurielle, on the other side.

"Hey girl." She said.

"Hey." I sighed.

"Girl, you good? You look tired or dicked down. I'm not sure." She put her hand on her chin.

I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Stop worrying about me, Laurielle." I waved my hand.

"Get dressed, I want to go get Chinese." She waved me off.

I went to my closet and pulled out a pair of leggings, my black Yeezys and a white body suit. I put on a Nike dad hat and a denim jacket. I grabbed my wallet and went back to Laurielle.

"Let's go, I'm so hungry." I rubbed my stomach.

We got in her car and drove off to Mr. Wok. We walked in and sat down.

"I would kill for some chicken and vegetables right now. I'm about to order so much food." I sighed.

The door rang and I looked to see Zion and his girlfriend, Princess. He looked over at our table. I adjusted my hat, showing off the watch he recently bought me. He smirked as he went to the table with her. My phone buzzed.

z: u look good enough to eat

jay: right across from her? u wild.

I looked up, seeing him smirking. I set my phone down and turned my attention to Laurielle, ignoring Zion.

I waved goodbye as Laurielle pulled off. I closed the door and leaned against it to take off my shoes. I threw my jacket across the back of a chair and took my hat off. My phone rang, scaring me.

"Hello?" I said into it.

"You did look good tonight." His voice sent shivers down my spine.

"Get off my phone, Zion. Ain't you with ya girl?" I asked.

"We don't talk about her. You know that." He said.

"Whatever. Have a nice night." I said.

"You didn't tell me you loved me earlier." He said.

"I love you, Zion." I smirked.

"See? How hard was that?" He asked.

I laughed before hanging up. I sighed as I stared at my phone. I met Zion 6 years ago when I was 18 and he was 19. I fell in love with him but he fell in love with the feeling I gave him. I played the sideline while he dated other girls just to have a piece of him. He claims that he loves me more than any girl he's dated, including Princess. They've been together for 6 months and she swear she run shit. I sucked my teeth at the thought and moved through the house, cleaning up. I found a bag of money in my closet. I pulled my phone out and sent him a text.

jay: you left a bag here?

z: it's yours, buy something nice for Daddy

I rolled my eyes and zipped it up, throwing it back. Shopping spree tomorrow.
