Zion Jamal Anderson

I closed the top to the third empty Hennessy bottle and set it next to the others. The little brown that was left in the bottom of the glass, I threw back. I was drunk, officially. I stood up, staggering a bit before regaining balance. I walked into my bedroom, seeing Princess laid out, asleep.

"Princess." I slightly bumped her.

"What, Zion? I'm sleeping." She grumbled.

"You gotta go and never come back." I hiccuped.

She sat up in bed, a look of confusion etched across her face.

"What are you talking about?" She said.

"You gotta go, you fucking up my relationship." I sighed.

"Baby, we're in a relationship. What are you talking about?" Her voice broke.

I looked at her to see tears welling in her eyes. I rolled my eyes before going into the closet.

"Zion, don't walk away from me!" She said as she followed me in.

"Just leave, Princess." I slurred as I put on a new shirt.

"Not until you tell me why." She crossed her arms.

I sighed again.

"I've been cheating on you this whole time." I said.

Her face dropped.

"Well, actually, I've known her longer than you." I laughed.

"Who is she?" She asked.

I waved her off. There was no way that Princess could have known who Jaymee was.

"I'm leaving. I want you gone when I get back." I burped lightly.

She started hitting me, making me sober up with a quickness. I grabbed both of her hands and pushed her against the wall.

"Watch out." I mumbled.

"No, you watch out. How could you do this to me?" She asked.

Her voice was masked by tears and hurts.

"How could I do this to her?" I responded.

"Fuck you, Zion." She said.

"If that's how you feel." I shrugged.

I let her go and continued to get ready. I was on my way to see Jaymee and tell her the news.

"I really hope she's worth it." Princess sniffled.

"She is." I said.

Princess pulled her bags out and began to pack them as I left out. I got in my car and pulled towards Jaymee's. I looked at the clock, seeing it was 3:47 am. I got out and knocked on the door loudly. She pulled it open then pulled me inside.

"Are you crazy, Zion?" She asked.

"Yeah, about you." I bit my lip.

She crossed her arms, letting me take in her appearance. She was wearing one of my t-shirts that I left over here.

"I missed you, Jay." I whispered.

"Yeah, I know." She sighed.

Her eyes focused on me, realizing the truth of my current state.

"You're drunk." She said.

I nodded. She started to laugh as she left the room. I followed her as she walked into her bedroom, got into her bed and closed her eyes. She cracked one open, seeing that I was staring at her. She flipped the cover back, giving me the go ahead to get in bed with her. I did so, laying my head on her chest.

"I broke up with Princess." I said quietly.

It was silent but I could feel her heartbeat.

"Why?" She cleared her throat.

"I want to be with you and only you. Seeing you with dude really threw me off." I sighed.

"So it took seeing me with another guy for you to change your ways?" She asked.

I was silent because she was right. It was childish of me but it worked.

"Wow, Zion. Let's just talk about this when you sleep off this liquor." She sighed.

I nodded before my eyes started to get heavy and I was asleep.
