Chapter Fourteen

*April 26th, 2014*

Zayn and the boys were at the studio so I was cleaning our bedroom. I was cleaning out his dresser when I found a ring box. I was curious and opened it. I saw a tiny ring with a barely visible diamond. 

"Shit, maybe I should've told him." I thought to myself. 

"Nope. He knows I like things simple. He was being considerate." I assured myself. I called Lauren and she headed over. She was about 6 months pregnant and it was adorable.

"I was cleaning out Zayn's drawers and I found this." I handed her the box. 

"Oh. Well, it's simple?" She forced a smile as she opened it. 

"I know." I sighed. 

"Didn't you want simple?" She asked. 

"I wasn't going to show him the ring I actually want, that thing is actually pretty expensive. I'm not gonna ask for some expensive ass ring." I explained. 

"Is that the one you sent me a picture of a few months ago?" She wondered and I nodded. 

"That was gorgeous." She smiled. 

"I know. I love that one. Zayn was threatening to go to you or my mum if I didn't spill on what ring I actually wanted." I laughed a little. I heard a car door and realized it was Zayn's. 

"Fuck, I'm gonna go fix everything. Hold on." I told her and ran to our room. I put all of his things back like they had been and ran back out to Lauren just as he opened the front door. 

"Hello, ladies." He smiled and kissed me as he walked by and back to our bathroom. 

"Fuck, that was close." I whispered. 

"Watch the swearing. My baby can hear you." She frowned as she rubbed her baby bump. 

"I'm sorry, Jacob." I laughed. They were naming him Jacob Cooper Thompson, with Cooper as the middle name for my dad. Casey and Maddie were having a daughter and they were naming her Elizabeth Catherine Thompson with Catherine for the middle name for me. 

"How long have you two been dating?" She asked. 

"Two years as of last month." I smiled and Zayn sat down next to me. He kissed my temple and I leaned into his side. 

"How long have you and Caleb been together?" Zayn asked her. 

"4 years as of February." She smiled.
