daddyhorseok this is for you. This is based off of one of my favorite yaoi manga oneshots called 'Alone in the King's Harem' and I hope you enjoy it!

Once upon a time, in a small country was a small castle.

There lived a king, queen and their son, Prince Jungkook.

They had a few maids, guards and a handful of concubines for the Prince to engage with.

"Thank you for summoning me tonight your majesty" Taehyung bowed in front of the prince.

Taehyung's eyes were empty but full of seduction as he was taught.

It hid his underlining of nervousness as he was new and would be deflowered by the oh so handsome prince that night.

All concubines can be identified by their symmetrical faces covered in makeup, their long well-kept hair styled with decorative pins and rolls in various colors and their long bright colored kimonos.

"What is your name my dear?" Jungkook asked gently.

"It's Taehyung your highness" he said simply.

The Prince smiled warmly "what a beautiful name"

Taehyung in a moment of shyness, hid his face behind his long kimono sleeves at the compliment.

"Now for your reward, tell me what you would like, anything you want. Money, jewels, new clothes. Anything"

Taehyung put down his hands and spoke sincerely, "Your majesty, when you say 'anything', there is nothing that comes to my mind that I, a simple peasant, could desire. I apologize, you may scoff at me".

Jungkook looked at Taehyung for a moment and caressed his cheek.

"That's no problem, then pick something from this room, as nothing here is of great value to me." Jungkook gestured to all of the small trinkets and jewels surrounding the walls and shelves.

Taehyung looked around the room with uncertainty in his eyes.

He's never been offered anything by royalty before.

His eyes remained focused on a small ceramic bowl on a table full of small white cubes.

"What are these?" He pointed to them

The prince looked at him strangely "oh those? They're sugar cubes."

Taehyung hummed in acknowledgment, he's never seen such strange yet pretty things.

They had in different colored patterns, as many as Taehyung could imagine. It amazed him.

"Could I have these...sugar cubes then?" He asked.

Jungkook chuckled at the silly concubine "are you sure? They won't last after you eat them"

Taehyung looked at him surprised as he heard the most unbelievable news, "You can eat them!?! But they are so pretty!"

Jungkook was a bit startled at Taehyung's excitement, "um yes, you can eat them, that's what they're made for"

"That's amazing..." Taehyung looked back at white cubes in complete astonishment.
