"I'll leave this here for when you're ready." The waitress said placing the black check book on the table. Reaching out to grab it, I was too slow as Adam snatched it.

"Adam Hann!" I reprimanded, trying to grab it back without making too much of a scene. My arms being too short made him laugh as he held it out of reach.

"If you want it, grab it." He teased, sticking his tongue out at me as he knew I couldn't.

"That's not funny. Give it." I held my hand out to which again he just chuckled.

"No" He said so surely.

"Adam." I tried again to grab it but he was stubborn.

"I'm not letting you pay for lunch. Ever." He said, always insisting on being the gentleman. Rolling my eyes I watched as he stuck his card in he designated slot and stood it up along the side of the table. We sat in silence as I waited for the right moment. Reaching out to grab it, he beat me to it; again.

"You're not paying so you might as well stop trying." He said holding the bill close to him. The smug look on his face getting to me more than anything else.

"This was supposed to be my treat to you before you leave." I whined, crossing my arms like a child.

"You're my treat. You're all I need." He winked as the waitress came over and took the check. Sitting up taller knowing he'd won, he gave me a cheeky smile. I, on the other hand, playful glared as my mind cooked up another way to treat him.

"Enjoy the rest of your afternoon." The waitress smiled coming back with Adam's card and a handful of chocolate mints. Adam took his card while I took the mints.

"I paid, so technically those are mine." He played as we got up to leave. Making himself laugh, I rolled my eyes.

"You know im just kidding." He wrapped his arm around me as we walked. Not saying anything, I unwrapped one of the mints ate it.
Conveniently, as I was trying to figure out a way to get away from him for an hour or two, my phone dinged.

"Hm, shit. I completely forgot Grace and I made plans today." I pulled away, complete bullshit as the notification on my phone was reminding me to drink enough water today.

"Oh, alright. Just meet me back home." He pulled me in for a hug, being sure to kiss me.

"Love you" he said yet it still made me smile.

"Love you too." I said as we parted ways. Walking in opposite directions I waited until I was sure he was out of sight before pulling up the directions I needed. Suddenly a woman on a mission. My phone telling me it was a 15 minute ride by the tube I didn't hesitate. I guess I didn't technically lie to Adam, seeing as I ended up calling Grace to come assist me. Telling her to meet me at the location before catching the tube, she somehow managed to get there before me.

"Your ridiculous, you know that right?" She said as we pulled the doors open to Gucci. Already pleased with myself I nodded. It truly is a good feeling every time I'm in this store, usually buying things for Hann, getting glared at and belittled only then able to pay the prices the employees think I can't. We shopped around for a bit trying to find the right piece.

"What about a watch or a ring?" Grace tried, eyeing the case of men's jewelry.

"He's not really a jewelry guy. Plus, if I'm going to be this extra I'm going to do it properly" I said walking over to the suit display.

"I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore" Grace said following me. They didn't have that wide of a selection however there was one red one that really stuck out. The pants fitted with a slight bell at the bottom. A square/ checkered pattern that incorporated flowers. I stared at it in awe.

"This one." I said. After having to prove my worth an associate helped me find it in Adam's size. Wrapped, paid, and we were out the door. Hugging Grace and thanking her for her help we parted ways. The whole ride home I wondered how I'd hide this massive Gucci bag upon arrival.

Getting to the flat, I opened the door as quietly as I could.

"Babe?" I called out, trying to not move too much so the bag would stay quiet. However there was no answer. Putting the bag down, I moved through the apartment to see Adam wasn't here. Going into the kitchen I noticed a note on the counter.

Met up with the guys. Mattys "inspired". Be home soon xx

Perfect. Grabbing the bag I ran into the bedroom like a child excited to play with a new toy. Pulling the box out of the bag I debated how I was going to do this. Take it out of the box? Leave it in the box? Yea, leave it in the box. The woman who wrapped it but a very nice bow on it that I didn't want to tamper with cause there'd be no way I could retie it as nice as she had. Just leaving the box on the bed, I threw the bag in the closet and ran into the front room. I got comfortable and attempted to wait but being too excited to sit still I decided to text him.

Hey babe, any clue when you'll be back?

I put my phone down and tried to find something to do to occupy my time. Getting my laptop I opened it and pulled up Netflix. Resuming the episode of Shameless I had paused hoping it would do the trick. However, my phone buzzed beside me diverting my attention.

Adam Hann
No clue. Why? Miss me already? 😌

He was so smug sometimes I couldn't help but laugh.

Maybe. I do have to go months at a time without seeing you so I cherish these moments.

The text bubble popped up almost immediately.

I'll try to get away  😘 Think you'll last an hour or two without my presence?

I think I'll manage smartass ❤️

Putting my phone away as it was going to be a while I delved back into my show. It definitely helped the time go by because before I knew it I heard the locks moving, indicating someone was here. That someone being Adam.

"I have returned." He smiled as he entered.

"What did Matty want? God, doesn't he see you enough." I teased too comfortable to move. Tilting my head up as he came over leaning down to peck my lips.

"You know how he is. He gets ideas and has to share with everyone. At least he includes us." He said making his way towards the bedroom. My pulse kicking up as I had forgot the box was there.

"Why is there a Gucci box on the bed?" Adam's voice projected so I'd be able to hear from the sofa.

"Did you buy something from Gucci?" This time his head popped out from around the corner. Trying to compose myself so I wouldn't give it away.

"Open it." I smiled at him. Getting off the couch and moving towards the bedroom.

"Oh, no, What did you do..." he asked just staring at it.

"Would you just open it." I pushed, literally pushing his shoulder with excitement.

"This is why you wanted me to come home?" He turned to look at me, still not opening it.

"Oh my god, Adam. Open the box!" I said, continuing to push at his shoulder.

"Okay, okay." He finally gave in, pulling the bow at an agonizingly slow pace only to annoy me.

"I'm gonna kill you." I smiled at he was making this so difficult.

"I'm gonna kill you for buying me Gucci." He smiled back pulling the lid of the box off. The look on his face made it worth it. He pulling the suit jacket out and just stared at it.

"Do you like it?" I asked, beaming as I could clearly tell he did.

"I can't believe you. It's ... wow." Do I get double points for speechless?

"Next time let me pay." I teased leaning in to kiss his cheek.
