New York City. The city that never sleeps. The concrete jungle where dreams are made of. A magical city filled with excitement, hopes, dreams, and so. many. dogs.

"Oh that's a good one." Adam said as a German shepherd was walked past the blanket we currently sat on in Central Park. A casual Sunday afternoon spent dog watching.

"Do you think its owner is a cop?" I asked, my eyes continuing to follow the dog until it was too far out of sight.

"He definitely didn't peg me as an officer but who knows nowadays." Adam said, continuing to watch the crowds pass. The park was busy this afternoon which was exciting for us.

"Oh my god!" I squealed, grabbing Adam's arm as the cutest little fluff of a Pomeranian pranced by. It's tongue hanging from its mouth, looking quite content.

"I love that." Adam said, a small smile forming on his lips.

"I know, aren't they adorable?" I pouted. It was too cute to handle.

"No, I mean I agree, but I love how when dogs are walking with their owners how happy they look. It's such a pure love." He observed, laying down on the blanket. Moving so I was laying with my head on his stomach, I sighed in content. Hearing a bark fairly close, I could feel that Hann moved to look  for the source.

"What kind is it?" I asked, adjusting my sunglasses. Making no effort to move.

"I can't see." I could hear the strain in his voice until he accepted defeat and lay back down. We just lay in silence for a moment enjoying the beautiful day. We could hear dogs barking and children playing.

"I just thought of a world without puppies and got really sad." Adam said out of the blue. Turning my head to look at him I couldn't help but laugh at how random a statement it was.

"Well thank god we don't live in that world." I smiled.

"I mean, I'd still have you." He continued, lazily playing with my hair.

"Dogs are just icing on the cake." He said as I moved myself so I no longer was laying on him but beside him. Leaning on my elbows.

"I knew what you meant." I smiled, kiss his cheek. He smiled at me, turning to look at me before leaning in to peck my lips. The sound of a dog barking making us pull apart just enough to speak.

"Guess." He whispered against my lips.

"Hm, sounds big. Husky?" I tried as we looked and sure enough a little girl with a husky twice her size strolled by. We watched in wonder at how the little girl managed to control the dog so carefree. It was clearly trained. Before laying back down, repeating the same routine all day. The perfect afternoon.
