"Thanks for the ride Jade." I say as I hop out of the car,

"What ever" she snarks and drives away, I walk up to the building with my dance bag slung across my shoulder, the thing I love most about the dance studio is the smell of hairspray and new dance tights its the best smell in the whole world. I bounce up the stairs and into the small cramped change room, placing my bag down on the stairs oak wood bench, I pull off my shirt and change into my tap clothes, I pull my hair into a tight pony tail and strut to the studio iPod and my black tap shoes in hand, taping is the one thing that gives me confidence, hence the strut, my best friend

Nick is waiting in the studio for me, he's going to be my spotter today, "Hey Tilly!" He says, turning away from the mirror,

"How's life Nick?" I ask walking up to him, I plunk down on the floor and pull on my taps

"Fantastic!" He replies, clapping his hands together like a child, "Ready to compete this weekend?"

"Heck ya!" I stand up and do a few cramp rolls to warm up my feet, I go and stand in my starting pose, I'm dancing to "Jonny got a boom boom" by - Imelda May, it's sassy and upbeat, which is the perfect kind of song for tap dancing, "hit it Nicky." I say, Nick presses play on my iPod and the speakers come to life, pumping out the upbeat tune. Throughout the practice Nick give me a couple basic corrections like, heels off the ground, chin up, watch your wight placement stuff like that.

"How's Katie?" Nick asks, turning off the stereo, and handing me my iPod,

"Good, she looked like she had a good sleep. But then again taking care of 14 kids can't be easy"

Nick shrugs, "Anyway I better get going, see you this weekend."

"Bye loser" I call after Nick as he walks out of the studio,

"Brat!" He calls over his shoulder.

(Tom's POV)

The car pulls up to a tall brick building, with a rustic front porch and kids scattered across the front lawn, "Here you are sir" the driver says,

"Thank you" I reply, I step out of the car and the gravel on the driveway crunches under my feet, the front door opens and a woman with blond hair and glasses steps onto the porch, she's holding a toddler on her hip, she looks so worn out, and tired. The children out front have started whispering to one another, I walk past them trying to ignore the stares,

"Are you Katie Stewart?" I ask,

"Sure am, and I'm guessing that your Tom." She says smiling, I nod

"Who's this little darling?" I ask poking the child in the stomach, she is very unamused by this gesture,

"This is Shara," Katie says bouncing the tyke on her hip to keep her from fussing, "lets go into my office where there are less children" she suggests, I nod in agreement. The orphanage is not what I was expecting, it was sleek and modern, the main entrance was a decent size, it has a cubby for each child, the stair well look likes it goes up forever, the hallway off the main entrance leads to a kitchen, dining room, tv area and a room that appears to be exploding with toys, Katie leads me to the very end of the hall to a red door.

(Miss Katie's POV)

I stop in front of the red door, Shara squirms in my arms, "Ohhh I know" I coo trying to calm her down, I open the door to the office I walk behind my desk and pick up the phone, and press the intercom button,
"Carly to the office, Carly to the office"

"You have and intercom?" Tom asks,

I nod "I take care of 14 children, and they all have to be on the bus by 8:05 an intercom was    necessary" he smiles.

"You called," Carly says sticking her head into the office,

"Yes can you put Shara down for her nap please" I hand her the squirming child, she takes her without hesitation and walks out of the room Tom closes the door behind her.

"So What can I do for you?" I ask, gesturing for him to sit,

"I'm looking to adopt a child" he states sitting down in the rather uncomfortable chair,

"Boy? Girl? Older, younger?"

"Girl, around 14 years old"

"Well," I mutter leaning down and rummaging through my filling cabinet, I pull out a yellow coloured folder and hand it to Tom, "Her name is Matilda, but we call her Mal or Tilly" he opens it and reads it over,

"She's 14 correct?" He asks in his smooth British accent, I nod leaning back in my chair

"Why does she have PTSD?"

"That's her story to tell, but what I can tell you is that she has pretty violent nightmares and she's currently seeing a therapist."

"Katie! I'm back!"

"Speak of the devil, In the office!" I call

"Is that Matilda?" Tom asks, "Could I meet her?"

I smile "Sure! But know this she is the biggest Marvel fan your ever going to meet" Tom chuckles, and a small smile creeps across his face. The door too the office bursts open and a very sweaty Matilda appears,

"Hey Mal how was tap?" I ask,

"Good, has my package arrived yet?"

I shake my head "no sorry, do you have a backup costume?"

"Ya I have something on the back burner," she runs her hand across her upper arm "who's this?"

"Mal this is Mr. Tom Hiddleston, Tom this is Mal." Tom turns around and sticks out his hand. Matilda's eyes widen once she realizes who's standing in front of her,

"Pleaser to meet you!" Tom says with a smile, Matilda blinks several times before grabbing Toms hand,

"Hi Hi hello" she stutters, "nice nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you to," Tom says smiling, " darling I'm going to need my hand back"

"Oh sorry" Matilda says, pulling her hand away from Tom, her cheeks have turned a light shade of pink, the poor girl looks so flustered.
"I'm going to go up to my room." She slowly backs out of the room, likes she's trying to wake up from a dream,

"Well she seems-" I hold up my hand and cut Tom off, a loud shriek of joys rings through the house, "nice" Tom finishes. I beam with happiness,

"She sure is!"
