"Ugh! I missed you girl!" Tey squeezed me as I entered her house. "And my niece! My beautiful niece." She said taking an excited Xippora from my arms, kissing all over her pretty face.

"And what about aunty Yola?" Mom said behind me as Chante side eyed me, like a child that knew they did something wrong.

"Aunty Yola!" Chante said with a new found energy as she danced her way into her arms.

"Mhm. I shoulda dodged your butt but you're lucky I love you." Tey grinned innocently and kissed her cheeks.

"I lub you too aunty." She said like a little child. Mom shook her head and took off to the patio where everyone was. "Gosh it's been a minute though. How did everything go? Did you have any trouble?"

"Nah everything went great." I smiled brightly.

"Nah bih, you better drop the deets. That looks like a 'I got dicked' smile." I laughed out loud and stopped in my tracks.

"Really Tey? That's the first thing that came to your mind?"

"I mean," She itched her head and laughed, sticking her tongue out as she did, "but foreal though, are you and Toni good now?"

"Maybe." I dragged, pressing my cheek against my shoulder as I did a cute smile. "We had a bonding moment but...it's crazy how it happened." I said remembering his ex.

"What do you mean?"

"Yo Tey! Oh, hey Yas." Chris said coming over to hug me.

"Wassup baby?" Chante replied as Toni came in behind him and smiled when he saw me. I returned the smile as he approached me and pulled me into a hug.

"Wassup? You just got hea'?"

"Yeah." I turned my eyes to Tey and Chris who were watching us with smirks on their faces. They cleared their throats and pretended to be unaware of our presence.

"Y'all ain't shit bruh." Toni said as he laughed. Xi got excited after seeing her and reached for him. He took her, played with her and kissed her on her cheek. "I'm happy to see you too baybeh girl."

"Are your parents settling in good Ant?" Tey asked unaware that Toni mixed up the dates.

"Oh, dey not coming until da actual date of the brunch. I got the dates mixed up but a nigga was unda stress so." He shrugged turning his attention back to Xi.

"That's what I was telling you babe." Chris said to Tey.

"Ohh. Well then yeah let's do it then."

"Right so, Yasmine, It's about to get crazy ova the next few days so Tey and I just wanted to spend time with y'all...our niggas for life..." I giggled, "and just relax and vibe, grab something to eat, throw some liquor in the mix...whatcha say Yas? Beach house slumber party? Bring lil mama too." Chris suggested.

"Y'all know I'm already down for it." I smirked as Chris picked Tey up in his arms.

"You heard her Mrs. Brown, let's go grab our shit." She blushed as he walked away with her. I shook my head and turned to Toni who was smothering Xi with kisses as a she released a fit of giggles.
