"It's just not that hard to keep your distance a little" Remi obnoxiously threw a piece of chewing gum around her mouth, throwing her pompoms to the floor as we got to her house. I slung my bag to the floor, wiped out from cheer practice. I frowned as what she said entered my head, I had zoned out and had no clue what they were talking about.

"Say that again, girly" I asked her, as we all went into her living room, flopping down wherever possible like we used to do. I looked over at her, as she tilted her head.

"It's just not that hard to stay away from Luke" She spoke, making me freeze up. I looked around the girls, who just looked around awkwardly. I frowned and pushed my lips together.

"Why would I need to do that?" I asked, she laughed quickly. She flicked her hair back, and put her phone down, smiling falsely at me.

"Baby girl, just stay away from him" I frowned more intensely. "You don't like him anymore right?" She asked, making me breath in harshly. "Right... So stay away so we can have our chance" I looked around, but Ellie and Rameen just pouted their lips slightly, and I don't think it was in my favour.

"I have no clue why I have anything to do with you and Luke, in fact I didn't even know you had a crush on him" I spoke, my insides filling up with anger straight away. I didn't want them to fancy him, I mean, I knew half of them did, or at least one of the Irish lads. They could have the others, just not Luke. I just didn't want to lose more friends over him, especially not like the party.

"Don't act dumb, you consume like all his time" I pushed my lips together, and Ellie nodded making me push my head back shocked, this was really how it was going to be? "We all fancy him, and you're in the way of that" She clicked her tongue, brushing me off. I sat forward on the chair a little.

"You all fancy the lad you knew I used to be involved with?" I raised an eyebrow. Ellie shot her head down, but Rameen and Remi just nodded. "Are you really going to go there?" I asked. Girl code meant nothing to anyone these days.

"Fact is, you still are involved with him..." She spoke condescendingly. "So just break it off with him baby girl" She smiled evilly. "And we won't have a problem, will we?" I pulled a face.

"You're insane if you think I'm going to listen to a word you say" I spoke, taken back this conversation was even happening. "Who do you think you are?" She sat up, laughing at me.

"We'll get him off you eventually darling" WHY was she being passive aggressive? I knew she was like this, I just never thought she would turn on me. I stood up shaking my head. I grabbed my bag from the wall and slung it on my back, fixing my skirt as I did so.

"You're a fucking bitch, Remi" I shouted at her, she just smiled down at her phone. Self-centred, pretentious bitch.

"See you later girly, safe walk home" She spoke bitterly. I wasn't going to rise to her, but I walked out and slammed the door behind me. I huffed down the steps, stopping at the bottom and looking around the street. The cold air hit my legs instantly, and I could feel the rain ever so gently hitting my head. I only had my cheer uniform on me, and it wasn't the warmest thing I owned. I had no coat. The rain was about to stop, but I didn't want to walk home in this. I slid my phone out my pocket. I dialled Aodhan's number, and held the phone up to my ear... Answerphone. I did the same for Pete and Dylan... Answerphone. I huffed, throwing myself down onto the step. As ironic as it was, I had to phone Luke, I needed a lift home and we were okay now. I breathed in, rolling my eyes subtly, clicking his contact and bringing the phone back up to my ear for the 4th time. After a few rungs, he picked up. Of course he did.

"Katie..." He spoke lowly, before coughing slightly. "You alright, what's the craic?"" I pushed my lips together, feeling a little bad. He knew I only ever phoned him when I needed something, and that I went to the other lads first.
