Mercy

Face down I'm shackled in chains,
Tighten the shackles increase the pain,
Look up feel the pounding of the rain,
As one pain leaves another began,
I got up and I ran and ran,
Pull the chains back as each attempt hit the fan,
Not once did someone care no one even held out their hand,
So I used voices in my head as an outlet,
Humanity isn't kind,
And this life isn't mine,
Even though I'm in pain there is still sunshine,
My voices they speak to me,
They feed me support me and give me company,
And it is nothing they want from me,
They of all things will never leave,
Till the day that I cease....
Beat me down tear me up,
Cut me turn me into a design,
To where no one notices me and it's dull instead of shine,
Kill me over and over again hurt me every time,
Hold me by the throat as I gasp for air,
But who is there?
No, no one cares,
No one shares life at their own suspense,
So please show a little mercy,
A little courtesy,
Please take a little of this pain from me,
When I'm down give me a helping hand,
Don't sit there like the cruelness of the world and don't give a damn,
Be innocent and pure like the prodical lamb,
But now I'm sinking in the sand,
I can't breathe someone help,
A helping hand...something I've never felt.
