"If this is a dress rehearsal then why do I have to have my hair and make up done" I ask as Kassie stretches out beside me. I sit in a small chair in front of a large mirror while people do what they will with me.

"Because it's a dress rehearsal. You have to look the part for Joffrey to see his vision. It helps him see everything better" she claims popping a blueberry in her mouth and continuing to stretch.

"Still... this is a bit much don't you think" I ask.

"Dance is always taking what you think is good enough then magnifying it a hundred times" she insists.

"I guess so" I mumble.

After someone pulls my hair into the tightest bun ever and someone painting my face like I was Mona Lisa I was released from the torture chair. Kassie turns to me and lets out a gasp.

"Ohhh you look so beautiful" kassie insists as I step in front of the mirror. I had to admit, I certainly looked the part. I always wanted to be a dancer and here I am.

I thank everyone for helping me out then go out and join everyone else who would be dancing today. I see Joffrey at the front of the stage and go up to him.

"Hey, where do you want me to start" I ask and he shifts his focus to me. His eyes go wide and a smile comes across his face. It made me feel kinda good inside, I wasn't going to lie.

"Gabriella, you look absolutely stunning. Wow. You are by far the most intrinsic dancer I have ever laid my eyes on. I usually make the dancers dress up for rehearsal to blend in with the others but beautiful girl, you stick out" he insists and my face heats up. He wasn't a easy guy to please but I'm happy I'm on his good side. I would hate to know what it feels like to be disliked by him.

"Thank you" I smile.

"Why don't you shadow the leads for today" he asks.

"The leads? Don't you think that's kinda big for someone who's been dancing for s few months" I wonder.

"I wouldn't trust another souls in your position with that task, but I see in you what others would kill for. It's raw talent and a desire to be the best, and it's beautiful. Nothing is too big for you. You're right where you belong. You know all the other parts, right" he asks.

"Well yeah" I shrug.

"Then stop tying your wings down. Let them free, fly my beautiful butterfly" he insists nudging me to the group out dancers in all black instead of the white I was showing.

"Here goes nothing" I sigh.

I make my way over and the group falls silent when I get there. They all look me up and down and I felt like a science experiment. The guys smiled as they decided if they liked what they saw as the girls weren't exactly sure what to think yet.

"You must be the new girl from Chicago" one says. There's nothing I "must be", but these people sure do know how to make a first impression.

"Yeah. My name is Gabriella" I say and the girl nods.

"Okay then. I'm Sasha, this is Brent, Kyle, Santana, and Beatrice" she introduces while pointing to each person. I look down the line but only see the Brent dude hard core staring. Now I kinda wish Artemi was here.
