It was November 2017, a surprisingly warm day in Colorado which makes it a great day for a outdoor wedding.

Artemi ended up getting traded to Columbus after the 2016-2017 season and my coldness to people finally came in handy. Of course I was going to miss my friends and the city, but there wasn't anything I was tied to there. Well besides the scenery and Artemi but we've made plenty of visits there when we can and make sure to say hi. Plus Artemi hooked Andrew up with a translating job so him and his family was around a bunch which helps a lot.

So we transitioned to Columbus earlier this summer which brings us to now. It's been almost a year since Artemi purposed and today is the day we tie the knot. It was a small wedding in this cute little venue in Colorado. He wanted a place that reminded of home and we didn't have enough time to go to Russia so this would have to do.

Artemi did most of the wedding planning over the summer. He was excited and it took his mind off having to move and such. It was actually really cute to watch him look for a outdoor venue and pick colors and make invitations. We wanted somewhere quiet and pretty and I have to say, he did a kick ass job.

Everything was set and ready so when we arrived this morning all we had to do is get dressed and fill the people in. There was a bunch of people from the Hawks in attendance and some from the Blue Jackets organization.Of course his grandparents came because they might actually be my favorite people. No one from my family came and I was thankful for that. It was small and intimate and no one there tried to end my life on multiple occasions.

I change into my white wedding dress and heels

I change into my white wedding dress and heels. Lindsey just opened her hair and makeup place in Chicago and she did mine for free. Friendship win. She curls it and pins it up so it wouldn't be in the way. After about a hour she was all done with me.

"Ugh, you're so perfect it's kind of annoying" she claims.

"I don't think so" I defend.

"See for yourself" she claims pushing a mirror in my hands. I lift it and and barley recognize myself.
