Mend Your Ways

The root of the problem isn't me,
But it's your lack thereof,
And your keen ability not to see,
Anything that you'd rather not believe.

It boils down to the core,
Nothing less and nothing more,
The center of action,
And the middle of chaos,
Where something cruel can be born.

I search deep inside and find,
Nothing I could possibly deny,
As bad intent and little lies,
But I could not find a reason why.

So why?

The root of the problem isn't me,
But it's your nature therefore,
I believe it's best to change,
And for me the stay the same.

It resides in the brain,
I'll try to wash it in the rain,
And cleanse you of your sin,
So your salvation can begin.
