Metamorphosis

Tomorrow I went to outer space,
And in the cosmos I saw,
Myself floating away,
Lost in the vacuums of time,

But I felt so weightless,
And all my worries drifted away,
Into the nothingness that enveloped me,
And all the planets I could see,

I planned to venture further away,
Into yesterday and the worlds I left behind,
But blameless sorrow,
Hindered me and made me senseless,

So today I wander,
Meshing with the stars I once wished upon,
And burn cold in the sky's bleakness;
The universes that exist beyond,

Will expire into dust,
When I fizzle like a supernova,
Tired of illuminating,
And holding myself together for others,

So I promise you,
When I meet the Sun,
My light will blind all.

And Earth itself will fall.
