Laguna Sound

His voice feels so far away,
And the noises I hear are muffled,
But the darkness is so deep,
As I drift away into the laguna sound,

It feels infinite,
Yet so confined,
And I can no longer hear the noises that drove me here,
But I can sense all around,

What lies in the great crevice,
Of the seas so profound,
Creates a blockade and drowns us out,
So life may resound,

But the noises I hear are so quiet,
And the ceiling is so heavy,
I can no longer handle the weight of holding the world together,
Nor can I keep myself whole,

Where am I, I wonder,
Am I near or far?
Do I reside in my familiar surroundings,
Or do I exist in a new realm?

What watches me and listens to me at night?
Who answers when I pray?
What lets fear build a nest in my heart,
And allows paranoia to tear me apart?

The laguna sound is lifeless, dormant, and serene,
But that's all I need,
To dream.
