Chamber

I'm resting in my chamber,
Seeping into my slumber,
But I can't remember,
Why I chose to sleep forever,
In the darkest room I've ever been in,
My everlasting solitude shows itself within,
And with the coldness of the world's empty sin,
My quest for silence begins,
I am contained,
And completely restrained,
By my own pain,
What I feel remains unexplained,
In the most malevolent light that's blinding,
My thoughts are unforgiving,
There is no winning,
In light of salvation's forbearing,
Nothing's more insane,
Than what brews in my brain,
And boils in my veins,
The unmistakable disdain,
The lies I told myself to stay awake,
Have brought me to this mistake,
And now I must die with what I've chose to forsake,
So long ago in my own heartache.
