Between Heaven and Hell

Unburdened vice,
A darkened joy lacking wit and pernicious rest,

Forbidden lust,
Drowned in rich crimson,

I know you love the fire,
Of my desire,

Fall deep into,
The burn of my smooth words,

My vicious tone,
Deep and envious of beauty,

Knows grander angels,
And more desperate demons from the shadows,

We walk on the edge,
Of death and all its suitors,

The grim reality of love,
Burrows a hole into your heart,

Between heaven and hell I lurk,

Listen intently to my drunken lullaby,

In the crater of bones and bloodied passion,

It rings like a siren's song,

Doting on the ill and morally ambiguous,

Amorous yet dangerous in its pull,

The taste of your lips,
Is bitter yet so sweet,

Like the tender emotions,
You keep locked away.
