The Great Chasm

22 1 1

I feel so broken,
I can almost feel my cracked skin,
And my fragmented spirit within,

The pain gnaws at me,
And it eats me alive,
And suddenly,
I am scattered among ashes,

I am a ruin,
But there is no beauty in my destruction,
Only holes,
And remnants of the person I used to be,

I am in need of something,
To mend me and make me complete,
For this brokenness aches,
And lingers in all my crevices.
