Skin + Bone II

My skin may be broken,
But my soul is indestructible,
And my heart will beat on,
With all the pain I feel,
And all the demons I face,

My bones may be shattered,
But my soul is indestructible,
And my mind is still working,
With all the things I have seen,
And all the monsters I fear,

What lies under my flesh and bone,
Will not decay with the woes of everyday,
I am not as perishable as my body,
Because I am here to stay.
