Perfect Pair ( p a r t 4)

Myungeun helps Seokjin's mother withe the fruits. Once she's done, she decided to take a walk a bit around and founds Seokjin sitting alone outside at the balcony.

"Hey."

Seokjin glances at Myungeun for a second before replying back.

"Hey."

"Mind if I sit down?"

"Please."

Myungeun sits down and serve the plate of fruits between them.

"Mm... My favourites."

"Me too."

They both reach for the fork and feed their mouth with slices.

"I used to sit here just to clear my mind. It helps a lot."

"I understand. This is a really calming place."

"Glad you think so."

Myungeun is about to reach for another fruit, which was a mango but somehow it always slips.

Myungeun clicks her tongue in annoyance. Seeing that, Seokjin forks a mango and give it to Myungeun.

"Here you go."

Myungeun just eat it from his fork. Not minding for the fork to even be exchange.

"Thanks."

"Welcome."

Feelings like Myungeun have to do the same, she forks a piece and give it to Seokjin who did the same.

They smile sheepishly as they could feel the shyness around them.

After bidding goodbye, Myungeun and Seokjin went back to campus.

"Thanks for dinner, Jin."

"Welcome, and you know.., thanks for..."

"No problem!"

They wave each other a goodbye.

"Hani's birthday coming soon."

Seokjin could only chuckles to the fact that his friend is becoming restless to the thought of her girlfriend's birthday.

"Just give her roses."

Ken looks at him with a bored look.

"She doesn't want flowers. I have to give her something that she wouldn't forget."

Ken keeps quiet for awhile. Probably thinking.

"So.. how's your mother?"

"Oh, she's happy. I finally got a girlfriend and presented her to them."

"Are you serious?"

"Yup."

"Who is it?"

"Park Myungeun, a culinary major. We met and we become friends because of our similarities."

"Cool. But she's cool about it? Being your girlfriend?"

"Yeah. It made everyone happy so she doesn't mind."

Ken nods his head. Suddenly, an evil idea hatched inside his mind.

"You know.... to thank her, I mean lying to your parents that you have a girlfriend. Even  bringing her to your house, she doesn't just deserve dinner."

Seokjin furrows her brows.

"What do you mean?"

"When's her birthday?"

"Birthday?"

Ken nods his head.

Seokjin searches for Myungeun frantically. He wants to ask her about her birthday. He soon realised that he needs to celebrate her birthday.

"Myungeun! Park Myungeun!"

Myungeun turns around to see Seokjin to her.

"Why did you call me?"

Myungeun asks to Seokjin who is a bit messy from running.

"That was so tiring!"

Myungeun chuckles and hands over her mineral bottle. They took a seat at the closest table.

"So?"

"When's your birthday?"

"12 of June. Why?"

"12 of June? That's like a week from now."

"Yes, I know that."

"What do you like to have as a birthday present?"

Myungeun thinks for awhile then, she shrugs.

"I don't know. A new laptop?"

"What happened with your old one?"

"It kind of bummed me a bit and I didn't have those security things. But I'll be able to buy them tomorrow. My salary is supposed to be in today."

"Salary?"

"Actually more to payment. I took cake orders."

"Hmm... do you have any other wishes?"

"I'm not sure."

Seokjin sighs.

"Well then... do you like roses?"

"Roses?"

Myungeun nods her head.

"But... my favourite is lilies."

"That's beautiful flowers."

Myungeun nods her head. Seokjin looks at what she bought and couldn't believe his eyes.

"You bought these babies?"

"Yup, why?"

"I didn't expect you to buy them."

"Well... they are delicious. You want some?"

"I love to."

Seokjin takes a few and stuffed it into his mouth.

"This is so delicious."

Myungeun chuckles. Making his heart flutters.

"Why are you so perfect?"
