Standing in a suit and tie Jackson Avery stood checking his watch every five seconds. Callie beside him in a sleek blue dress, her hair pinned out of her face but still down.

"Where is she?" He asked shifting in his stance now very annoyed, "she's supposed to be here."

Just then Hanna came jogging round the corner still in her normal clothes.

"I know, I'm sorry," she apologized as the hurried out of the hospital with her friends close behind her, "I forgot to get something to wear, I'll just get something on the way."

"I hate you and your rich ways," Callie sighed getting in the back of Hanna's jag.

Hanna walks out of the elevator in a skin tight formal black dress, followed  by Callie and Jackson. She gave her dad a smile and hugged him before hugging Catherine then Carlos.

"Your late," Mr Goldson said sitting back down in his chair.

"I'm sorry about that," Jackson said tucking his chair in after kissing his mother on the cheek.

"It was me Daddy," Hanna told him, making sure that no one got into trouble about being late, "my surgery ran a little late, then I needed to get a dress for tonight because I forgot."

"It's okay baby we're all here now," he said calmly gesturing to all his gests that sat around the table, "so how are we? What are we eating? And please choose anything, it's on me."

"Is my jet fuel on you as well?" Catherine asked jokingly.

"Yes absolutely," he smiled at her charmingly, "all expenses paid, my gift to you."

The three children stood in the elevator on their way to the ground floor.

"I don't if that was just as boring as the Gala's or if it was worse," Jackson laughed as he leaned on the side of the elevator.

"Ugh... I know," Callie said leaning her head back.

"Try being the only one that can speak Mandarin and English at a table with rich white people and one Chinese guy," Hanna laughed, "no daddy I'm not telling him that. Yes Mr. Chi I am translating correctly."

'Oh God' they both laughed hysterically at the awkward event that their friend had to sit through.

"Yeah it's not so funny when your dad starts ever sentence with 'tell the chink'," Hanna said rolling her eyes at her father's racism, "I mean like your trying to seal a deal dad, don't insult the man."
