So I'm not dead.

Well that's disappointing.

I could feel a rough scarred hand take mine.

"Please baby. Please wake up." Dad whispered. "Please."

"I'm just going to go Uncle P. Tell me if she wakes up. Or you know... deteriorates."

"Thank you Apollo."

"No problem."

I tried to move, to show I was awake.

But I couldn't.

Dad sighed. "Percy, come on, you can do this. I know you wanted to die, you may even want to die still. But, baby...I love you. So much. So please. Wake up."

He sounded close to tears. "Please. Baby please. I can't lose you. I know it's been two weeks. But wake up. Please."

Two weeks?

Jeez.

He's stuck around this long?

"How is she?" Triton asked.

"Same as she was yesterday. And the day before that. And before that."

Whatever I was laying on dipped and I felt him lift my shirt, running a hand over my stomach.

"She really did know what she was doing, didn't she? She didn't go through the front. From the side she hit a lot-"

"Triton. Not helping."

"Sorry." Pulling his hand off my stomach he moved off of my, I'm assuming, cot.

"How about you go check on your mother?"

Triton sighed. "This isn't healthy for you. If she's going to wake up, she will. Stressing over it won't help."

"I know...I just want to be here. So she won't try again."

Then there was silence.

Pure silence.

I get it if you don't want to move on.

But think about everybody else.
