71. Let's make that a big problem

"Is that her? Do what I tell you to and I won't hurt her. I won't even let Jackson near her." The way Matt talked to Scott made me realize it's Melissa
"Scott, don't trust him!" I yell and Matt pulls me of Derek and he pushes his foot on my chest making me unable to breath
"This work better for ya?"
"OK, just stop! Stop!"
"Then do what I tell you to."
"OK. All right. Stop!" I need to tell Scott what would have happened if he would have let Matt choke me... Right... Nothing
"You, take 'em in there." Matt ordered Jackson to move Stiles, Derek and me
"You-" Matt looked at Scott
"With me." Matt took Scott with him to the front and I heard a shot and I heard Melissa scream.
"Scott! Stiles! What happened?!" I heard Stiles dad scream from the back He's here too? Jackson started moving closer to the three of us and I can't hear the conversation between Scott, Melissa and Matt, but I could hear everything they were screaming.
"Matt? Matt listen to me--" Stiles's dad screamed again
"Shut , shut, shut up! Everybody shut the hell up! Now, get up, or I shoot her next!" Matt screamed and Jackson grabbed the three of us in one time and threw us in the office. We were there staring at Jackson who didn't even look like Jackson. He had scales on his face and arms, but they didn't go over his entire body and he had an expressionless look on his face. Matt pushed Scott inside the office
"The evidence is gone. Why don't you just go?"
"You- you think the evidence mattered that much, huh? No, no, I- I want the book."
"What- what book?"
"The bestiary. Not just a few pages, I want the entire thing."
"I don't have it. It's Gerard's. What do you want it for, anyway?"
"I need answers."
"Answers to what?"
"To this." Matt pulled up his shirt to show his skin. There was some weird coloration. It looks like scales! My eyes opened wide when a blue shimmer went through it. I started to feel a sensation in the tips of my toes and I wanted to check what it was, but the rest of my body didn't move. Then I remembered I was paralyzed and I felt a smirk come, but I try not to show. I wasn't paying attention to the conversation, but from the corner of my eyes I saw Matt taking Scott to another room, leaving me, Stiles and Derek with Jackson
"Hey, do you know what's happening to Matt?" Stiles whispered to me and Derek
"I don't know, but I don't think the book's gonna help." I answer
" You can't just break the rules. Not like this." Derek finished
"What do you mean?" Stiles and I said in sync
"Universe balances things out. Always does." Of course! Why didn't I think of that?
"Is it because he's using Jackson to kill people who don't deserve it?" Stiles asked
"And killing people himself." I say in stead of Derek
"So if Matt breaks the rules of the kanima, he becomes the kanima?"
"Balance." Derek and I answer
"Will he believe us if we tell him that?"
"Not likely."
"OK, he's gonna kill all of us when he gets that book, isn't he?"
"Yep"
"All right, so what do we do? Do we just- do we just sit here and wait to die?"
"Unless I can figure out a way to push the toxin out of my body faster."
"Like triggering the healing process. Sorry, Derek. Actually, no I'm not." I say before I set my nails in his legs and blood streams out
"Wha- Oh, what are you doing? Ah, gross." I took a deep breath, but when I smelled Derek's blood I held my breath. With my other hand I dug my nails in my own leg and slowly I could move more and more from my body
"So is that hypothetical situation we talked about getting any less hypothetical?"
"I think so. I can move my toes."
"Dude, I can move my toes." Stiles said
"I can move my whole foot and my neck." I whisper and not long after that the light fell out and the alarm was going off
"What is this? What is this? What's happening? What's going on?!" I heard Matt scream and I could feel more and more from my body, but I still couldn't move completely. I started hearing gunshots and broken glass and I heard a peep follow with a boom. I started seeing smoke and I started feeling my whole body and I pulled my nails out of Derek's leg. Scott ran inside
"Take him." I say to Scott, motioning to Stiles. And I stood up and I helped Derek up. Derek started moving his body more and more and as soon as he had control of his entire body he shifted in his wolf form and I followed his lead and flashed my green eyes. I listened closely and tried to find Matt's voice. When I found it I nodded my head towards the sounds. I walked in front and when I heard Melissa's voice I shifted back to my 'human-side' I stopped to open the door, but Derek pushed me aside and walked in first, but he was still in his wolfform NO! Too late, I heard Melissa's heartbeat go faster. I heard Matt's heartbeat go up as well, but it went  down not long after and I know Jackson has to be here as well. When Derek's heart went up I knew it for sure. Jackson's here. Derek growled and he and Jackson started fighting. I walked passed them and to Melissa, who was stuck behind the bars of the jail
"It's gonna be OK, don't worry, he's not gonna hurt you, Melissa." I told her and she nodded, too in shock to say something. I tried to open the door, but I don't have a key. I exhaled deep and tried to pull of the lock with my hands, but I couldn't if I had to try this hard to stay in my humanform
"Look out!" Melissa yelled and before I had the time to look back I felled Jackson in my back. Oh Hell no I'm being paralyzed that long! I pushed my nails in my leg again, but this time a lot deeper and I'll take the fact that it was hurting as a good sign.
