90. I'm coming back with you!

I quickly glanced over at the clock. 22.03. Is it too late to call him? I looked at the time I got the message. 07.19... Yesterday! How can I not have seen that until now?!

Can I call now? ~ Cass xx

No reaction. I start to freak out and I'm about to call him anyway when my doorbell rings. I run towards it vampire speed, I do not care who it is. I need to call Isaac. If something happened to him, I'm blaming myself. I quickly open the door and I see Isaac stand right in front of me. I feel my heart drop and engulf him in a hug. He wraps his strong arms around me and I remembered we were still standing on the porch. I pull back and I lead him inside before closing the door behind me.
"What are you doing here?!"
"You didn't react."
"How did you even know where I was?"
"You told me about your family. The last thing I kinda did a background check."

"And all this trouble for what?"
"I need to tell you something." I could see fear, worry and much more in his eyes. It was scaring me
"What, Isaac."
"There's a problem in Beacon Hills."
"What kind of trouble. Is it the same thing you told me about before?"
"Yeah." He sighed and stared at the ground
"There's a new pack."
"New pack? What are you talking about?"
"A new pack of we--" I stopped him there. I was scared someone was listening in and I couldn't risk of leading Nick to the new pack so he could turn more of them into hybrids
"Don't say the word. It's not safe to talk about that here." I gestured to my ear and he nodded
"But a new pack? Is it really that bad?"
"It's a pack of--" He looked around and mouthed
'Alpha's.' Shock filled my guts
"That's impossible. They can't. It's against nature."
"I know, but somehow they're able to."
"How do you know?"
"Derek and Peter knew."
"They knew?"
"Yeah, they knew before I did."
"How could they know?" He shrugged
"But they already took Erica and Boyd."
"They what?"
"Yeah, Derek is looking for them, but if he's right and they really did take them, he'll have to get help."
"Help as in..."
"As in you and Scott. I wasn't even supposed to tell you."
"Why not?"
"Because he want to take care of it on his own. He just want to proof he can be the alpha." I sighed
"Really? This is about ego?"
"Yeah, I think it is."
"OK. I'm coming back home with you."
"No!" I looked at him in surprise
"I mean. No. You can't come back with me."
"Why not?"
"Because if you do I'll have to explain to Derek why I ignored his demand and I'll get in trouble for 1: not telling him where you were when I found out and 2: Telling you since he clearly told me not to."
"Too bad. You need me there."
"No." Isaac's eyes got sad
"I don't want you to get hurt."
"I wo--"
"I know, but just stay here."
"Then why did you tell me?"
"Because Derek will probably sent me in."
"What?! No, he can't just send you in."
"I don't mind. I just wanted to tell you that maybe if you come back, I won't be there just yet."
"What? Isaac--"
"No, please, just let me finish." I nodded and he went on
"But I'll be back." I could hear the tremble in his voice
"You're not sure, are you?" He slowly shook his head and looked at the ground. He sighted and looked me straight in my eyes
"I don't know if I'll come back, but I want to help find Erica and Boyd."
"I understand. Just let me come with you and help."
"No, please, Cass. Just let me finish. I came here because I wanted to tell you something before I went." I looked him in the eye and I could see a strange emotion. I never saw it before. He took a step closer, but his eyes never left mine.
"When Derek sent me after you to make sure you were OK, I didn't mind. I didn't mind being almost every step behind you. I didn't mind being there to protect you if something happened. Even though you could safe yourself just fine." He laughed a bit and because he was standing closer as usual I could feel his breath on my face.
"Isaac--"
"No, I'm not done yet. When you were gone, I started freaking out. I called you and the next day you called me even before Scott or Stiles, your best friends. I know you just redialed me, but you have no idea how that made me feel." He took another step closer and still his eyes didn't leave mine.
"For some reason you make me feel different. And I don't mind. It makes me want to protect you even though now I know it's going to be the other way around most of the time." His eyes left mine for a second as like he was thinking about what he was trying to say. They soon met mine again and words came out of his mouth again.
"At first, I was jealous of Scott and Stiles, then the way Derek acted around you and the fact that I thought you didn't even notice it."
"What do you mean?" When I noticed I interrupted him again I look apologetic and he smiled.
"I mean he was flirting with you, but you just acted like nothing was going on."
"He was flirting?"
"Yeah, pretty hard actually." Isaac huffed a laugh and looked down, disappointed?
"I'm not good at those things. I never notice because I've been hiding for centuries." Isaac looked back up and I saw a spark in his eyes.
"I know, I just can't imagine you so old." He exhaled deeply and as reminder that he was so close I could feel his breath on my face again. He suddenly looked into my eyes again with the same expression as before.
"I like you, Cass." Those words his me and I blinked my eyes a few times, but before I could convince myself he didn't say those words his lips softly met mine. Suddenly a feeling went through my body. I closed my eyes and I kissed back recognizing the feeling as a suppressed emotion. Isaac's left hand was on my waist and his right hand was going through my hair as our kiss deepened. Both of my hands were tangled with his hair. We both pulled back and we smiled at each other as weirdos. I really like Isaac. How could I have missed that? How could I have suppressed my emotions so hard?
