Monday 16th July

The next morning, after showering and getting dressed in another over-sized romper-provided by Cindy, I proceeded to help her in the kitchen with breakfast.

"Have you ever made breakfast before?" She chuckled, placing a carton of eggs on the counter. She was already dressed for work.

I scratched the back of my neck and that was the only response she needed.

"You can help slice the ingredients, we're making omelets,"

I nodded even though her back was turned to me and washed my hands before attempting the ingredients that were placed.

An array of peppers, onions, and cheese were displayed before me, and I tried my best as I sliced and grated them all. I presented my finished product to Cindy who regarded it with pride.

"Very good, you're even better than Isaac and he's had years of practice,"

She added the chopped ingredients to the egg batter and added a pinch of salt before pouring it into the sizzling pan.

"Yay, I helped with breakfast!" I giggled, spinning around, like a little girl.

"Someone's in a chipper mood," Nate noted as he entered the kitchen.

"I helped with breakfast," I repeated, sending him a grin.

"Wow, make sure to cross that off your princess bucket list," He teased, as he sat at the dining table.

I had a Princess bucket list; normal activities I would like to experience before I- well kick the bucket. So far, I had crossed bungee-jumping and Ice-skating off the list after spending a weekend with Katherine.

The aroma of the omelets wafted through our noses and my stomach growled, excited for the incoming food.

"I smell breakfast," Isaac boomed as he marched into the room, eyes fixated on the stove.

Cindy turned the stove off and I helped her scoop the omelets on plates with slices of toast before delivering two plates to Isaac and Nate.

Isaac gasped as he took his plate, "Oh how the tables have turned, the princess is serving us,"

Nate chuckled and gave him a fist-bump before accepting his plate, "Thank you, my fair lady,"

I made a curtsy, "Your welcome, my kind sir,"

Isaac rolled his eyes at Nate and I exchange.

"Alright well I'm off," Cindy announced, placing her handbag on her shoulder.

"Alreadyyyy??" Nate cried, between swallowing his breakfast.

I sat at the table and began eating as well; Cindy patted our heads,

"Yup back to the old grind. No monkey business you guys make sure you do your chores before you go anywhere."

Without waiting for a response, she left the room. Once we heard the front door slam, the brothers gave each other a playful grin before simultaneously speaking,

"You're on dish duty,"

"Jinx," They said simultaneously again, Nate quickly knocked on the table and Isaac groaned.

"I hate washing the dishes,"

I shook my head at the brothers' bickering and quietly finished my breakfast.

A hand rested on mine, "Hey, you alright?"

My eyes flickered towards Nate and I nodded. Isaac grumbled under his breath as he collected our plates and proceeded to wash them.
