The horse was majestic.
It put Graham's horse- Thunder, to shame.

It was obvious that its two-coloured mane was groomed and its golden hair was spotless and glowing under the moonlight.

"Oh he's beautiful!" Kat cried, once the group approached the horse.

The horse's owner- son of the Duke of Vylia, stopped his grooming of his horse to greet us.

"She," He corrected, as he flipped his dark unruly curls out of his face with a flick of his head.

"What's her name?" I asked, as I stepped forward to survey the beautiful horse some more.

Nate's hand quickly wrapped around my waist and pulled me backwards to fall in line with him.

When I glanced up at him in confusion, he shook his head at me,
"And to think you'd learn your lesson with horses."

I was touched that he remembered the story of how Thunder had left me stranded in the middle of the woods and that he was concerned about my safety around another horse- if it was one thing about Nate, is that he was very cautious.

"I'll be fine. I just wanna pet her!" I pleaded.

My gaze flitted back to the horse to see Xavier feeding her an apple from a a bag that was beside his foot, while his other hand was stroking her head soothingly.

"Can I pet her?" Kat exclaimed as she unravelled herself from Harry's arm and marched her way to the horse.

Estelle who was standing beside Xavier, furrowed her brows at her cousin, "You're going to psych out Apple Jack!"

Harry agreed, "Kat, you don't want to spook out the horse!"

Kat halted in her steps and spun around to the rest of the group,
"I'm just walking towards her."

Harry chuckled to himself and crossed his arms, "What's natural for you is ridiculously scary for others, you have on the face of death and your march of determination right now."

Estelle nodded in agreement and glanced nervously at Apple Jack, who was oblivious to the whole exchange and was busily eating her second Apple.

Xavier moved the bag of apples away and caressed the horse's nuzzle.
"Alright girl that's enough apples for now."
She whinnied in protest.

Kat continued her march towards the horse before anyone can object again,
"Okay she's done eating so I can touch her!"

Apple Jack's head tilted to one side as she observed an energized Kat marching towards her and she noticeably tensed.

Kat arrived before the horse and outstretched her hand to touch her when Apple Jack bucked away from the touch and kicked out her back hooves, scaring everyone near her.

Xavier jumped away and pushed Estelle backwards before Apple Jack became anymore riled; Estelle flew backwards and twisted her ankle as she fell backwards on her butt.

She glared menacingly at her cousin, "Nice going Kat!"

Kat's face fell as she scrambled to help her cousin up and Louis and Liam rushed to her aid as well.

Estelle tried to stand but then winced when her left foot made contact with the grass, "Definitely twisted my ankle."

Xavier who was currently trying to calm Apple Jack down, peered over his shoulder at them.
"You think you'd be alright?"
