ETHANS POV
Me and my girlfriend, y/n, are going to a barbecue with my parents and family just so she can meet them. Me and y/n are dating for 2 years. I absolutely love her.
Once we got there I saw her take deep breathes and look at the house and back down and back at the house. I could tell she was nervous even though she met them before but not the whole family.
I took her hand in mine and held it tight and offered a smile, which she returned.
"Let's do this." She sighed and hopped out of the car. I loved how she was so confident.
I chuckled and followed her into the front door. I opened it and held her hand as we walked into my parents house.
We saw my mom and the kitchen cooking and the minute she saw y/n her face lit up and she ran to go hug my girlfriend.
"Aaawwwww y/n its so nice to see you again!" She beamed as she examined y/n's face.
"Nice to see you too, Lisa" I watched y/n smile. God I love her smile.
Then y/n saw all the uncooked food on the table and added "Do you need any help?" She asked politely.
" oh honey no it's fine I can do it." My mom said with a slight smile.
"Are you sure, I really don't mind at all." Y/n insisted feeling sorry somehow. She always cares about others.
"I'm sure, go say hi to the rest of the family." My mom smiled and seemed warm hearted by my girlfriend.
Y/n nodded sympathetically and looked at me with those beautiful eyes of hers, that made me melt everytime. I smiled at her before leading her outside where everyone looked an hugged y/n while greeting her.
She greeted everyone with a smile but I could tell she was still nervous. She always looked around her frantically and tapped her foot rapidly when she got nervous.
She turned to me and wrapped her arms around my neck while digging her head into my chest sighing in relief. I chuckled and pecked her head laying my head on top of hers.
I heard a bunch of people from my family awwww at us which made me smile due to the fact that they liked her.
We then heard a bunch of hush pitched voices yell "y/n!!" She turned and saw the little kids from my family on the playground.
She let go of me immediately and ran over to the kids kneeling down to give them all hugs. She smiled brightly as I got closer to the playground.
"Hey y/n wanna pway tag wif us?" Tommy said. He was 3.
"Sure! Who's it?" She smiled as I watched the kids beam at her face.
They thought she was a princess because she was beautiful. She was.
"You are!" Sammy said. He was 5.
He ran away and y/n sighed and laughed before going for all the kids a little slow just so it can look like they were winning.
While Henry was tagged he was the fourth kid to get tagged.
While he was running from a kid he accidentally pushed tommy who hit face first.
He started crying and rolled up into a ball still crying.
Once the parents started coming y/n held his head and put it on her shoulder and tommy hugged her waist still crying. She rocked themselves back and forth while saying sweet nothings into his ear.
Tommy's parents watched closely at the two and then nodded and walked away thinking hey shouldn't interrupt.
I walked more closely and kneeled down next to the two rubbing Tommy's shoulder comfortly.
Y/n then said to him "do you want to be my prince?" She said sweetly.
Tommy slowly stopped crying and then looked up at y/n and nodded rapidly.
She then looked at me and I nodded in reassurance.
She then grabbed his face softly and gave him a kiss on the cheek which made his go tomato red.
A perfect representation of when we first kissed. I blushed like crazy.
"Come on my prince. Wanna go get some ice cream?" She smiled down at him.
He just nodded shyly and smiled. She chuckled and got up and grabbed his hand while heading inside probably to get ice cream.
I love her. She was kind to others. She treated everyone with respect. She was great with kids which I already knew, but I love seeing her like that. Makes me know that she will be a great mother.
When I was following them I heard my name being called by my parents and some family members.
"She's amazing. Keep her." One mom said.
"I plan on it. Hopefully I don't mess up. I love her." I said as I smiled at the thought of her.
"Well son, she is beautiful and kind. Those are the ones you can't find that easily." My father said as he pointed at me slightly.
"No they aren't. That's why I asked her to be my girlfriend the day I saw her." I smiled at the thought of the day I met her. We met when I accidentally spilled my Starbucks on her.
"Do you love her Ethan?" My grandma asked.
"No I don't." I said.
They all gasped and I chuckled saying "I'm in love with her."
They all quickly said "awwwwwww" and came up to hug me.
I saw y/n walk out with an ice cream cone and tommy ran to his parents happily.
She walked to me smiling and I grabbed her waist pulling her close and looking at her eyes, just admiring her.
I felt all eyes on us.
"Want some?" She referred to the ice cream and lifted up to my face.
I licked it and she laughed seeing my face "what?" I smiled.
"You have a little something there." She pointed to my lips.
"Why don't you get it for me?" I smirked still close to her face.
She lifted her hand but I quickly grabbed it and pulled her closer and pushed her lips onto mine.
I sighed of relief from her lips and pulled away slowly with a smile.
"Did you get it?" I said playfully.
She giggled before nodding. I smiled brightly before pecking her lips once more.
"You guys are adorable." The uncle of my family said totally ruining the moment.
I looked at him dead in the eyes saying "really?"
"Oh sorry— I'm gonna just- yea." My uncle stuttered before drinking his soda again.
I heard y/n laugh at my comedian of an uncle. I turned her head to mine and kissed all over face making her burst out in giggled making me smile and laugh with her placing my head on her shoulder.
"I love you e." She said sweetly into my ear.
I smiled at the sound of her voice and said "I love you more princess."
