I couldn't stop thinking about what Jai said. He is right but it's not that easy anymore. Not after everything I've done. I ignored him, fought with him with song titles, cliche I know, and ignored him even more. And now he's sitting in front of me to maths class.

The bell rings.

It's now or never I think and pat his shoulder.

"Yes?" he turns to face me with his blue eyes staring mine.

"Can we talk?" I ask almost shaking.

"About what? We have nothing to talk about. You made it very clear." he says.

"Luke please." I beg.

"You can't do anything you want, you know. You didn't want to talk to me for over two weeks and now I have to want to talk to you?" he spits.

"No, I didn't me-" I begin to say but he cuts me off.

"I know exactly what you mean B. You want to talk to me and I have to say yes. But things are not always as we want them."

And with that he leaves me alone in my sadness.

-Luke's POV-

I'm at my house with the guys. We suppose to be practising but I just talk to them about my shit.

"Man that was harsh." Calum says.

"You should have talked to her." Michael says.

"Thanks guys. I'm feeling a lot better now." I say.

"Sorry mate, but we're not trying to make feel better. We're trying to make you understand your feeling for her." Ashton says. "And if you don't like her, I'll take her out."

He's joking, I know, but I can't imagine her with anyone except me.

"Relax man, I'm kidding." he says and I sigh.

"I know." I say.

"You love her, don't you?" Michael asks.

"Yeah. I love her so fucking much that it hurts to death." I admit.

"You screwed it up." Calum says.

"Calum!" Ashton and Michael shout at the same time.

"No he's right." I say with tears in my eyes. "I fucked it up and now it can't be fixed. Let's face it! She just doesn't feel the same"

"No, mate, don't say that." Michael says.

"I'm afraid it's the truth." I say. "Time for some practice."

-Beth's POV-

"Why do you people have to be so stubborn?" Nathan asks.

"I tried to talk to him." I say sniffing.

I've been crying for the past two hours in Nathan's and Jai's arms.

"Yes. And he tried to talk to you too but you didn't give him the chance. It's something like a payback." Jai explains.

"Or he doesn't feel the same anymore." I say.

"He does. I swear Beth, he does. He's just afraid. Just like you are."

"Let's just face it. He doesn't feel the same."

"No Beth, don't say that." Jai says.

"I'm afraid it's the truth." I say and head to my room.
