Elsa practiced spinning low to the ground and slowly stood up gracefully. She stopped and looked into the mass of seats around her. There were very few people here yet. Some janitors were sweeping around the chairs. Some guys with trays sat watching the skaters practicing. There was one that caught her eye. She was sure she hadn't seen him there before. For one thing, he had white hair, which was peculiar. Maybe that was why he stood out to her. He had his phone out. She wasn't sure if he was texting or taking pictures or what because he held it absolutely still.
She decided staring was a little creepy, so she turned around and went back to her bag of stuff in the back. She had a text on her phone.
Jack: What are you doing?
Elsa: working, I thought u were too?
Jack: I'm waiting for my shift to start.
Elsa: oh
Jack: you done your performance thing yet?
Elsa: no
Jack: oh, bet you'll do great :D
Elsa: I know 😏
Jack: :p
Elsa stopped when the show manager clapped his hands together and said, "It's go time!"
❄❄❄
Jack started videoing the graceful ice skater. He would send it to Elsa later and ask if she could skate that good. He then decided to text her, since he had nothing else to do anyway. She answered pretty quick.

She didn't reply so he pocketed his phone and heard his boss call for everyone to get out of the stands. He stood up and went to one of the back rooms to wait for people to fill in.

The manager was right. It was go time. No matter how many times Elsa did it, she always had butterflies in her stomach when it was her turn.
The performance went beautifully. She was sort of the ice queen while the others skating with her were fire. They wore the same outfit as her, only in red. She smiled as the crowd cheered for one of her more famous moves. Spinning low to the ground, then standing up with one leg straight behind her. She was sort of doing vertical splits while spinning now.

Jack was busy handing out cotton candy, popcorn, small packs of candy, and other assortments. A guy was following close behind with a tray of drinks for people to buy.
Jack hardly paid attention to the show, he was too busy selling snacks. He needed all the sales/money he could get.
At the end of the night, Jack turned in his tray and how many snacks he had sold. He would get paid on Fridays, except this one, since he had just started. It wad then he saw the girl from practice. She had her back to him and was carrying his skates loosely at her side. She still had her short skating dress on and her bun was now a loose braid over her shoulder.
"Hey!" He said, approaching her.
She turned to him to show she had striking icy blue eyes. She was very pale, perhaps paler than he was.
"Hi," she said simply.
"Great show tonight! Your spins were flawless and you look so comfortable on the ice."
"Thank you. Practice makes people better."
"What about practice makes perfect?"
"Because people aren't perfect."
He nodded silently, mostly because he was thinking. She sounded familiar.
"Hey, do you go to Burgess High? You seem familiar."
She shook her head. "I go here in Norway."
"Oh," he couldn't place her.
"Well, um, see you Saturday?"
"What?" Jack asked.
"That's the next time I work. Saturday. You?"
"Oh, no. I only work on weekdays."
Maybe he had seen someone like her on TV. She had that movie star look.
"Hmm, Tuesday then."
"Yeah."

Elsa was heading for the changing rooms when that white haired boy from the stands approached her. He told her she was great and asked her where she went to school. He seemed so familiar, but she was sure she had never seen him before.
She asked him when he worked and shortly after that they said their goodbyes and left each other. Elsa changed into loose shorts and a tank top before she headed out to her car. She saw she had a text from Jack.
Jack: you off work yet??
Elsa: yes, you?
Jack: yeah, driving home now.
Elsa: it's dangerous to text and drive u know..
Jack: ahh, you do care :)
Elsa rolled her eyes, smiling.
Elsa: of course I care! Ur my friend
Jack: are we? ;)
Elsa: what do you think we are? :/
Jack: ahh :( I thought I meant more to u than that ;)
Elsa: mmhmm...
Jack didn't respond so, Elsa started her car and drove home.
❄❄❄
Jack was driving home. He got there late, since his job was all the way in Norway district, but the pay was good and he would have enough money to buy gas too.
When he got home, he got a lecture from his father about getting home late and the like. Of course, he was sent to his room, but it was night time anyway. He texted Elsa again.
