Emily's POV

After grabbing a pint of ice cream and two spoons, I headed upstairs.

I was surprised to see Isaac holding up a photo of Luke and me.

"Who is this?" He asked. I could tell he was upset and jealous.

I put down the ice cream and grabbed the photo from his hands. Did he go through my things just to find this?

"That's my childhood friend, Luke. I've known him since I was like, five."

He crossed his arms, clearly unsatisfied with my response. "Are you going to see him this weekend?"

Why is he so hung up about this? It's starting to annoy me.

"If he's in San Diego, then yeah, maybe. He works for my parents." I told him. "Why does any of this even matter?"

"Because we've been dating for months and this is the first time I've heard about this Luke guy?" He said, walking away from me. "And why is his arm around you?"

I can't give in and start fighting with Isaac, especially not now.

I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him from behind.

"I never talk about him because there isn't anything to talk about. In fact, I haven't even thought about him until just now."

I felt him take deep breaths before turning my way.

"So you guys never... hooked up or anything like that?" He asked.

"Me? Never. My sister? Probably. Luke is like, 23. I'm sure they messed around when they were our age."

"Well, maybe you can ask her yourself when you find her." Isaac said with a soft, yet hopeful smile.

He was quiet for a bit.

"I'm sorry for making assumptions, Emily. I'm... new to this whole relationship thing. You're my first actual girlfriend, you know?"

He scratched his head and looked away from me.

"Hey, it's okay. You're my first actual werewolf boyfriend anyway." I told him, smiling.

I grabbed his face and gave him a kiss. "This argument is over. Can we please watch The Shining now?"

He picked up the half melted ice cream and ate a spoonful.

"On one condition."

I looked at him curiously. "Which is?"

Isaac pulled me close.

"You let me take you out on a real date when you get back."

"Hmm... what would this 'date' entail?"

He ate another spoonful.

"It's a surprise." He said, licking the spoon.

I gave him a flirty smile in response. As much as I hated surprises, I couldn't wait for Isaac's.

"So... is that a yes?"

"Of course it's a yes." I told him, as I leaned in for a kiss. I could taste the strawberry ice cream on his cold lips. After wrapping my arms around his neck, I felt his tongue slide into my mouth.

I might be crossing the line with this whole open door rule, but gosh it is so worth it.

He finally pulled away. "Not to be a dick or anything- but I kinda wanna watch the movie." Isaac said with a laugh.

I couldn't help but smile.

"Fine, but I get the rest of the ice cream."

"Deal."

The night was filled with cuddling and kisses. Eventually, Isaac had to go home.

When the movie ended, he checked his watch and began to collect his belongings.

"You want a ride home?" I asked him.

"Nah, I'll ask Scott to drive me. Also, you're already in bed." He said, sitting next to me.

He did have a good point. I'm in pajamas and on the verge of falling asleep. But one last question lingered in my mind.

"But you never let me drive you. Home come?" I asked him.

"It's kind of a... dangerous neighborhood. I just don't want you driving there alone at night."

"Well can I drive there during the day? It can't be that bad."

"We'll talk about it after we find your sister." He kissed me on the forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow before you leave."

"Don't you have to go to school?"

Isaac got up and flashed me a smile. "I'll just skip my morning classes again."

"Wow, such a bad boy." I said, getting out of bed.

"Far from." He told me, before giving me one last kiss.

After he left my room, I heard him and Scott talking in the hallway. I couldn't hear much, but I heard something about Derek. Maybe they're talking about how to get him back from Gillyan's pack?

Before I could even collect my thoughts, I heard the front door close and the engine start.

After taking off my makeup, I turned off the lights and got back in bed. My mind couldn't help but wander off to Isaac. As much as I trust him, I couldn't help but feel like he is hiding something from me. I know I have other things to worry about, but our relationship is so good. I don't want to spark another fight and ruin it.

I stared at the celling and created different scenarios as to what would go down tomorrow when I go back home. This is going to be the first time I've seen my parents in months. I can't just ask them if they know that Avery is a wolf. They'd think I'm insane. For all I know, they might even think she's dead.

Finally convinced that I am prepared for whatever tomorrow throws at me, I finally closed my eyes and dozed off.
