My eyelids fluttered at the morning sunlight as I felt someone pull me towards them. I turned around and saw Isaac.

My mind went into panic mode. My face is bare, covered with acne and blemishes. I hate the fact that he has to see me this.

I covered my face with my sheets. "Couldn't you at least wait until I was ready?" I asked Isaac.

He pulled the sheet away. "What are you talking about?"

"My face... is looking a bit rough today, can't you tell?" I said, pointing at all my pimples and small scars from my acne. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

Isaac put his hand out and slowly stroked my cheek. "You're beautiful inside and out, Emily. I love your little imperfections. They make you human."

I rolled over and got on top of him. "You're my favorite person, you know?"

"You're mine too."

I gave him a small peck on the lips. "I gotta start packing." I said, as I got out of bed.

I could feel Isaac's eyes on me as I walked around my room.

I grabbed a pair of black leggings and a tank top. As I began to undress, Isaac turned around.

"I'll uh, give you some privacy." He said.

"It's okay if you want to look."

I gave him a sly smile as he turned around.

"You are such a tease."

After packing the bare minimum, I looked at the hoodie Isaac left here and threw it on.

"I'm never going to get that back, am I?" He said with a laugh.

 "Only if you want it."

"Hmm... all I want is you."

"Good thing I come with the hoodie." I said, giving him a wink.

Isaac wrapped his arms around me and tackled me onto the bed. He looked me in the eyes before kissing me all over my face, neck, and eventually, my lips.

"I've said it before, but I'm going to miss you so much."

"I know. It's only going to be a couple of days though. Why don't you and the boys do something fun tonight?"

"Like what?"

"Maybe go to Lydia's party?"

Isaac let out a laugh.

"Hey, I'm serious!" I said, hitting him on the arm. "Go socialize and catch up with some old friends."

"Honestly, I'd rather play video games with Scott and watch Stiles get drunk off of beer than go to that party."

"Fine, suit yourself. I just don't want you complaining about you having a boring weekend."

He smiled at me. "If you're not here, it's going to be boring. But I guess I can live." He said as he shrugged.

"So you're going to the party?"

"I'll think about it." He said, rolling his eyes at me.

I don't really get why everyone is so against Lydia's party. Like, yeah, some crazy shit happened last year, but that was last year. A lot can change in a year. People move on.

"Well, I've never been to a Beacon Hills party. If I wasn't leaving, I'd definitely force you to go with me. But who knows, maybe it'll be a normal party this time." I told Isaac.

I saw his eyes shift to the clock. "Shit."

"What? What's wrong?" I asked him.

"I told Scott I would be back before lunch- which is in... 20 minutes."

I felt disappointed, but I knew our cute little morning would have to come to an end eventually.

"Well, we should both get going. Plus, I don't want to get stuck in traffic." I said sadly.

Isaac nodded in agreement and walked me out to my car.

"I wish you could come with me." I told him, putting my hand on his chest.

"Me too. But I gotta hold the fort down with Scott."

"Promise you'll call?"

Isaac looked at me and smiled. "Why is that even a question?"

"Hmm it's a question you never answered."

He laughed and raised his right hand.

"I, Isaac Lahey, promise to call you, Emily Barnes, every night that you are away."

I couldn't help but laugh at him. "Wow, if only I had a bible on me."

In the moment of laughter, I found myself feeling sad. I'm just so used to being with Isaac every day that I forgot what it's like to be alone. I can't even put what I felt into words. I'm just a boat floating in the middle of nowhere without a direction- but Isaac holds me down. He keeps me stable, like an anchor.

Before I knew it, I was on my way back home to San Diego.

Isaac's POV

I tried to beat Scott and Stiles to lunch, but they were already sitting at our table, staring at me. I sat down next to Scott and put my phone on the table.

Scott gave me a strange look. "You and Emily were together for... a while."

"Did you guys, you know... get it on?" Stiles asked me.

Scott sighed. "Why did you have to ask him that, Stiles?" He put his face in his hands.

"No! Even if we did, I wouldn't tell you guys anyway." I said.

Stiles rolled his eyes. "Yes you would."

"Okay, if it was any other girl, yeah, I would." I told him. "But out of respect for Scott, I'm never going to say anything."

"Thank you!" Scott exclaimed, glaring at Stiles.

My phone vibrated on the table. I grabbed it and looked at the screen, hoping it was Emily. Scott leaned in, looking as well.

He gave me an angry look.

"Why the hell are you texting Allison, Isaac?"
