Eva's eyes snapped open to the front door of the house slamming shut, grasping her out of her sleep and yanking her into harsh reality.

It was a surprisingly bright Monday morning despite the time on her phone. Eva squinted her sleepy eyes, stretching in her comfortable bed. With a yawn, Eva rolled herself off of her sweet comforter and stood on her Power Puff carpet, her warm feet cherishing the soft material.

She made her way to the bathroom. She didn't take a shower since she already took one yesterday, and just wached her face with cold water to wake her up. Brushing her teeth clean and her red hair tangle-free, she made her way to the closet and put on the usual; jeans and an oversized sweatshirt. Eva made her way downstairs to the kitchen, but not before grabbing her jean jacket with her. I feel like denim-on-denim today, she thought.

It was no surprise that the house was empty. If it wasn't for the previously slammed door that indicated Hannah's take off, it was definitely her usual routine. Hannah wouldn't drive Eva because Hannah always went a half an hour before school closed their doors, even though the drive there was hardly seven minutes.

She goes to prepare the labs and assignments, Eva guessed, But why doesn't she drop me off with her?

It wasn't like Hannah would go out of her way for Eva - Hannah worked there as a biology teacher for crying out loud. Even after school, Hannah would go to her Bible discussions and tutor a few wealthy students before she finally hit home where she would lock herself in her office and take care of the homework she assigned to the pupils. Then eat, sleep, and repeat.

Eva wondered where she stood in her mother's busy schedule.

The school closed its doors at 8 am but actual class wouldn't start till 8:15 am. Eva glanced at the time in her phone and it was 7 am. Her mother usually left the house at 7:30. Eva couldn't figure out why her mother left an extra thirty minutes early that morning. It was probably due to a new club Hannah joined at school, or even worse, a new Bible group that assessed at the early morning. How creepy is that? Eva had no idea whichever witchcraft her mother got herself into.

Eva sat on the counter, the bowl of cereals drenched in milk in front of her, wondering how she would react when she saw Zarek for the first time since she friendzoned him. She would probably end up acting awkward, blurting embarrassing nonsense while blushing like her life depended on it. Eva hated constantly blushing, wanting to be as confident as... Trudy for example.

Eva had to admit that that was past being optimistic and into the farfetched unrealistic area.

Eva was eating slowly her breakfast, stalling going to school and facing anyone - whether it being Zarek or Trudy. Eva bit her delicate lip, gazing at the cereals intensely. Trudy would be so angry with her, especially since Eva friendzoned Zarek despite Trudy's nonchalant attempts to get them together.
