Trying to wake up Bucky almost every morning was a harder task then it should be. He'd been living in the tower for almost 2 years and you'd been assigned to wake him up every morning since you were the only other person - apart from Steve - he trusted after being with hydra.

You knocked on the door for the third time, getting nothing in response. You rolled your eyes before opening the door to see Bucky in the middle of the mess of his bed. He was on his side, his knees were almost pulled up to his chest, both arms under the pillow his head was on, his body was on top of all the sheets but they were still a mess.

You laughed and shook your head, taking in the sight in front of you. Bucky looked quite peaceful and you felt sorta bad that you had to wake him up. Already knowing this wasn't going to be easy, you sat down on his bed and put your hand on his arm. "Bucky. You need to get up" you said, shaking his arm a little.

He stirred but didn't move and made a noise, making you smile. "Come on, get up" you said, poking his side. He didn't open his eyes but grabbed your hand with his metal hand, preventing you from moving. You smirked and used your other hand to poke him but he managed to grab both your hands in his metal one.

"Bucky" you said, looking at him. He hummed in response but still didn't move. "If you don't get up now, I'll call Steve" you threatened, this usually worked but Bucky just shrugged. You rolled your eyes and thought of something to do or say.

Both your hands were trapped in his hand but at least you were facing him, which made it easier. You got up onto the bed, putting both your knees onto the mattress as you bounced, making the bed rock and the springs squeak. "Stop" Bucky whined, letting go of your hands and turning onto his stomach, putting the pillow on top of his head.

You smirked before standing up on the bed and bouncing, making the bed rock more and the springs squeak louder. You heard Bucky groan and a smile grew on your face as you started yelling out the lyrics to 'wake me up before you go go'.

"Wake me up before you go go!" You sung loudly and completely off key. "Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo!" You yelled, jumping more that Bucky was actually starting to bounce as well. "Wake me up before you go go! Don't wanna miss it when you hit that high!" You yelled again. Before you could continue, Bucky pulled your leg out from under you, causing you to fall straight onto him. He groaned as you laughed. "That was your own fault dumbass" you smiled, sitting next to him again.

"I'm still not getting up" Bucky said, turning over so his back was to you. "Why?" You asked, looking at him as he shrugged. "Because" He answered. You rolled your eyes, you hated that answer and Tony liked to say it a lot.

"Because why?" You asked again hoping he'd give you a real answer. "I've already answered that question y/n" Bucky said, you were almost certain you could hear a smirk in his voice. "Because is not an answer. Give me a real answer" You pushed.

"If I give you a real answer, will you go away?" He asked, turning back to face you. "I can't promise anything but maybe" you answered. "Then I can't give you my answer" Bucky replied, turning away from you again. "Fine" you gave in, curious to know his answer. Bucky turned back to face you with a smile on his face.

"Because I don't want to" He smirked. "I fucking hate you" you said blandly, getting up to leave because now you were pissed off. "Y/n, wait" Bucky called after you. You turned around and crossed your arms, raising an eyebrow at him. "What?" You said. "I'll get up if you just lay with me for a while. Please" he answered, you could hear the sincerity in his voice. You gave in and sighed, walking to his bed and crawling in next to him.

You put your head on the pillows on the right side of the bed while Bucky stayed on the left side, leaving a lot of room between the two of you. Bucky slowly and hesitantly moved closer to you. When you didn't stop him, he lied behind you, his chest touching your back. You smiled lightly and turned around so you were facing him, your chest to his, your faces only an inch apart.

You watched his eyes flick between your lips and your eyes, as if he was asking for permission to kiss you. You leaned in and we're met with his lips on yours. His lips were soft and moved in perfect sync with yours. When you started running out of air you pulled away and smiled at Bucky shyly as he was blushing.

He kissed your forehead and pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you. You put your head on his chest as he rested his chin on top of your head and closed his eyes.

You didn't want to close your eyes but you couldn't help yourself, his body was radiating warmth. You were comfortable where you were and had no reason to move, so you didn't. You cuddled up closer to him and closed your eyes, listening to his heartbeat.

Eventually, you both fell asleep in each other's arms, knowing that getting up next time was going to be hard for both of you.
