- when bucky relapses, you're always right next to him to calm him down.

- he once had a relapse so bad that he accidentally choked you unconscious with his metal hand. When he came back to reality and saw what he had done, he woke up Steve so he could help you before running away. He was gone for 2 weeks.

- when you woke up in the hospital wing of the compound, the first thing you did was ask for Bucky so when Natasha told you he was gone, you didn't handle it very well. At all.

- you locked yourself in your bedroom and barely came out for the 2 weeks Bucky was gone. You hardly ate or did anything. Mostly just lied in bed, cried and when you slept your dreams were filled with the nightmares of the torture you endured when hydra captured you 3 years ago. Bucky always helped you with your nightmares as you did for him but both of you had very few nightmares when you were together.

- when someone kept knocking at your door and didn't stop, you got up and opened it to see Bucky in the same state as you. Bloodshot eyes, messy hair, there but not there, tear stained face, hoodie and sweatpants. You both broke down in tears when you saw each other and hugged for a long time while crying before you pressed your lips to Bucky's in a deep, passionate kiss.

- after that, Bucky apologised more times then you could count but you kept assuring him it was ok and that you were better now he was back. And you were. So was he.

- sparring together usually leads to steamy make outs.

- Bucky always calling you "doll" or "darling"

- You calling him "sarge" or "baby"

- when Bucky hears you call him "james" with a disapproving tone, he knows he's in trouble.

- amazing sex.

- whenever Bucky gets self conscious over his scars, especially the one where the metal of his arm and his skin meet, you kiss it until he smiles genuinely. You can always tell when he fakes a smile.

- always making each other laugh at inappropriate times, mostly during meetings when you're meant to be paying attention then tony catches you and tells you off. Him telling you two off did nothing so eventually he would have to sit Bucky on one side of the room and you on the other where you couldn't look at each other.

- bucky somehow convinces Steve to get him back his license from the 40s that shield had before the fall. Once he gets it back, he tries to use it to get senior discounts but it rarely works.

- "I'm so sorry sir, he forgets that 40s licenses don't work anymore. It's his age, it's getting to him. You should see how many times we have to stop walking so he can catch up and take a break, it's ridiculous" you say while patting Bucky's shoulder
"shut up y/n, it was working" he says with a disappointed look.
"If only we could both believe that"

- when trying to get the seniors discount doesn't work, he tries to use his dog tags from the war to get a veteran discount. It has only worked twice and that was because the people couldn't be bothered to argue anymore.

- "Sir, it's only a 4 dollar coffee, it's really not that much, you don't need a discount-"
"Look at my arm! It's metal! You know why?"
"Sir, I really don't think-"
"I fell off a fucking train, that's why! I earned this discount!"

- as a kid, your favourite movie was dirty dancing. You and Bucky watched it one night and afterwards Bucky was determined to do the iconic lift. After hours of whining, Bucky finally convinced you to try the lift. You stood at opposite sides of the room. You were shaking a fair bit, scared that he would drop you but you trusted Bucky with your life and you knew he wouldn't drop you. You started to run at Bucky but stopped half way, too scared to keep running. Bucky chuckled and walked up to you. He cupped your face with his hands and kissed your lips sweetly. He assured you that you'd be ok. You tired again and went through with it. Bucky picked you up and the lift worked flawlessly.
"Holy shit! It worked, we did it!"
"I knew you could do it, doll"

- No matter what happened, you two always loved each other unconditionally and nothing could change that.

anyways my crush hasn't been at school since last Friday because she's in a different state playing volleyball for the state team and no one knows when she's getting back and i miss her and shit. i'm sorry i'll stop talking about her now.
