The secret

Chapter 13

After the game of Monopoly -which Chris won by the way and he wouldn't stop making this little dance every time someone landed on his property and they had to pay him.- me and Veronica went straight to bed. We turned of the lights and laid in bed. Both of us were still awake. I didn't know if it was because of the scary movie, all the sugar we consumed or the series of events that took place through out the night but we were wide awake.

Lizeth: So you and Chris huh?! -I said pumping my shoulder into hers playfully-

Veronica: Yes, I guess, I don't know. -even though it was completely dark I could feel a huge smile on her face-

Lizeth: Well what happened between you two? I might've seen a little bit of kissing when I passed by my mom's office. -I exclaimed with a smirk-

Veronica: Well yea. So this is what happened. After he asked me to talk he was a little nervous but I knew what he was trying to say. So he told me his feeling for me and I told him mine. I guess we are dating. I don't know honestly. I think we should take things slowly and when he is ready to ask me on a date then I'll be waiting for him. One thing I don't understand though is why he had so much trouble telling me how he feels. Like he's had a long  history with woman. He's been a player since I've met him in the fifth grade.

Lizeth: Well maybe it was because you're different and he sees a long future with you.

Veronica: Really? You think so?

Lizeth: Yep!

Veronica: And what about you and Pimentel?

Lizeth: I don't know. I really want to be with him! I want to tell the whole world that I'm dating Joel Pimentel! I just - tears began to fall- What if once I tell him my secret, he gets scared and runs the other away. I don't think I can handle that! -She embraces me in a hug as I cry-

Zabdiel: He won't and if he does then I will kick his ass! Also you know I've always wondered what girls talk about during sleepovers and now I guess I know. Ohh hey can you guys get to the part where you gossip now? Because like I've been DYING to know what girls from school have a crush on me! I'm ready to turn on the Charm!! You know, take girls on the Z train! ALL ABOARD!! - Zabdiel yells from the other side of the wall-

Me and Veronica laughed so hard. That's what I love about Zabdiel. No matter how sad you are, you can always count on him to cheer you up!

Veronica: Shut up you dork! - She said laughing and Zabdi let out a chuckle-

Zabdiel: Goodnight girls!

Lizeth: Goodnight, Zabdi!

Veronica: Goodnight. Z!

Then with that we all went to sleep! The next morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I get up and turn it off. I see Veronica still sleeping right next to me. I gently pushed her to wake her up. I decided to take a quick shower so I turned on my Spotify playlist and got in the shower. When I came out I decided to put some high waisted jeans, combined with a light pink crop top and my white vans. I blowed dried my hair and left it in my natural curly form. I then applied some light make up and headed downstairs for breakfast. Veronica was already there eating with Zabdiel.

After we finished eating we got in Zabdi's car and headed to school. As usual everyone went to our usual hang out place to meet like we do every morning except for me. I had to go to the library and get a book that I needed for a class.

The bell rang so I hurried to my first class. The day went by ok. I had Joel for biology first thing in the morning but we just smiled at each other and didn't say anything. I guess we both didn't know what to say. It was the last class before lunch and I asked the teacher if I could be excused to use the bathroom. After I left to do my business and got out of the girls bathroom, I felt someone grab me and shove me into the genitor's closet locking the door.

Lizeth: WHAT THE HELL!! - I screamed scared for my life-

X: Hey it's ok, it's ok! It's just me! - The person turned on the light and as it turns out it was Joel-

Lizeth: DANM Joel! You scared the crap out of me! -I Said catching my breath-

Joel: Sorry. - Joel said chuckling-

Lizeth: It's ok but what are we doing here?

Joel: I had to talk to you. Be alone with you! I couldn't handle just smiling and saying hello to you in a room full of people. I wanted to be close to you. -He said getting closer to the point where his face was a few inches from mine-

Lizeth: I.... uhhh... ummm. - I couldn't stop looking at his eyes and then down at his lips as he bit them.- Danm Joel, you make me so weak. -I said putting some distance between me and him-

Joel: You do the same thing to me!

After I separated myself from him I turned around with my head down, then I felt his hand turn me around. His hand was on my waist pulling my body towards him and attaching his lips to mine.

Joel: I've been wanting to do that for so long! You're all I think about Liz! You're my weakness. I've never felt like this with anyone else.

Lizeth: Me neither!

Joel: I can't take it anymore I need you! I need you as more than just friends.

Lizeth: I do too. But first there is a lot we need to talk about before we do this. So there is this little coffee place in front of target. Why don't we meet there and discuss everything? After school? Like let's say 6:00?

Joel: Sounds perfect, mami! Can't wait!

Lizeth: I think we should probably get back to class.

Joel: Yep.

Lizeth: I'll go out first.

As I was walking out the door he pulled me back for one last kiss.

Joel: Te veo luego, princesa!

I walked out of the closet with the biggest smile while biting my bottom lip! How is it possible for him to do this to me?! I'm falling for him more and more by the minute.
