Chapter 18

After I left Zabdiel's room I drove his car to school. It felt so good to drive again. I hadn't done it in about 2 months since I got my license. Everyone had been driving me around and it felt so good to be behind the wheel again.

I pulled into school and Joel came towards the car to greet me like every morning.

Joel: Buenos días hermosa! -He greets me with a a quick peck on the lips-

Lizeth: Buenos días bebé!

Joel: No vino Zabdiel? Qué pasó ayer? -He asks with a worried tone-

Lizeth: I'll tell you inside along with everyone else.-He agrees and we go inside-

Melany: Heyy! Where's Zabdi? What happened last night? -She asks as soon as we came in-

Christopher: Si qué pasó? Me tiene muy preocupado!

Lizeth: Ok so last night... -I began to say while sitting down. Everyone's attention was on me- I heard a noice so I went down stairs and saw Zabdiel drunk in the kitchen. He told me that he went out with Chris last night to some party to talk to a girl.

Veronica: You did what?! -She said shocked referring to Christopher-

Christopher: Cálmate bebé. Deja que te explique. Hace algunos meses le di un aniño a una chica que me dio mi abuelita. Me dijo que se lo diera a alguien que estuviera enamorado de. Fue durante el verano y pues me enamoré de ella. Bueno eso creía y le di el aniño. Pero terminamos y pues lo quería de vuelta para dártelo a ti. -he explains-

Jaime: Fue esa chica del pelo rubio con esas curvas... -Christopher then glanced an evil look towards him- you know what? I'm just gonna shut up....-he said looking down-

Veronica: Estas enamorado de mi? -she asks una an "awe" tone.

Christopher: Si mi amor. Para eso te iba a llevar a comer tonigh. So that I can give you the ring and tell you that I love you.

We all then released an "awe". Christopher and Veronica's cheeks turned a light color of pink.

Johann: Ok now that we have that cleared up, continue please.

Lizeth: Ok so after Christopher got the ring back he dropped him off, right? -I ask him and he nods- Well during the party he met some guy and when Chris dropped him off the guy texted him to see if he would like to go back. Zabdiel being the idiot that he is, he agreed. That's when he said he had some stuff to drink and then some girl drove him back. -I could see Melany hide her jealousy since she has a crush on him.-

Claire: Who was the guy, anyway? -She asked me-

Lizeth: I don't know. I think he said his name was Alejandro. Yea that's what he said.

Christopher: Alejandro!? Are you sure he said that? - He had a worried and scared look on his face.-

Lizeth: Yea, why?

Christopher: They call him Alex. He is vey very bad news. He recently got out of juvie I think. Like a couple of months ago. He was in there for about 9 months I think. He actually used to come here. Do you guys remember him? Alex Martin. -He asked everyone. -

Erick: How can I forget him! Ese me caía bien gordo! -He said while rolling his eyes. We just laughed at his comment-

Christopher: I think his parents didn't think it was a good idea to come back so soon to school.

Lizeth: Should I be worried then? - I ask Christopher-

Christopher: Don't worry I'll talk to Zabdi later and tell him to be careful!

The bell rang and we all said goodbye to one another. Joel and I went to class together like always along with Veronica. The day went by faster than usual. It was finally  last period. I asked the teacher if I could got to the bathroom and he let me. As I was coming out of the bathroom someone grabbed by hand a gently shoved me in the closet. It was Joel as I expected.

Lizeth: God! You have to stop doing that! -I playfully hit his shoulder.-

Joel: Sorry! - he chuckled- I just wanted to kiss my girlfriend!

I couldn't help but smile at that last part. It sounds so sexy when he calls me his girlfriend. I suddenly get butterflies in my stomach.

Lizeth: How did you even know I was out here?

Joel: I saw you pass. I sit right by the door so I asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom and now here we here. I have something I need to ask you.

Lizeth: What is it?

Joel: I was wondering if you could go on a date with me Friday night? -He asks me shyly-

Lizeth: I would love to! -I say excitedly and give him a kiss- Wow! Our first date! You know what would make this more romantic? If we weren't in the genitor's closet. -We both released a chuckle and kissed. -

After we kiss we went back to class and luckily the end of the day was near. When the bell ringed everyone left the class in a rush. I just took my time since I knew Zabdiel wouldn't be waiting for me. As I was walking to the car I heard someone yell out my name. I turn sound and saw Melany running towards me.

Lizeth: Hey girl! What's up? -I ask her-

Melany: I was wondering if I could maybe... stop by later to check on Zabdiel? -She asks shyly-

Lizeth: Yes! Of course! I think he will love that! -A huge smile apearse on my face. My best friend and my brother! That's exciting-

Melany: Omg! Really? I'll stop by at 6, how does that sound?

Lizeth: That sounds great!

Melany: Alright then! I'll see you then. Bye girl! -She said excitedly and runs of-

Lizeth: Bye! -I reply and couldn't help but laughed. I hope something happens between them.-

I get in the car and drive home. I can't believe I'm going on my first date! I'm so excited! I feel like me and Joel are doing everything backwards. We fell in love and then go on our first date. I don't care though because I love him! The whole car ride I spend it blasting music and singing.
