Chapter 16

Lizeth's POV

I was listening to music in my room when I heard the doorbell. Maybe it's Zabdiel, he had a date today so maybe he left his keys here again. As I walked downstairs I saw his keys on the counter. Yep he forgot them. I quickly grabbed them and headed for the door. I opened it and it was... Joel. He was standing outside my door, holding some roses, a pizza, ice cream and Hershey bars. I just stood there in shock then quickly reacted. I was closing the door but then he stopped it with his foot.

Joel: Please just listen to me! -He begged-

Lizeth: I... ummm... -He was standing there with his puppy dog eyes that where irresistible to me- Alright! Fine! But only because you got pizza! -I said holding the door wide open so he can come and took the pizza his hands-

He then came in, closed the door and placed the rest of the stuff on the counter. I was starving since I hadn't ate anything since I got home from school so I opened the pizza to get a slice.

Joel: Look! I know what I did was wrong but... I'm more than sorry! I have an explanation!

Lizeth: I'm all ears! -I replied taking a bite out of the pizza.-

Joel: When I got home that day I was chasing my dog around the house cuz he had my shoes and when I was chasing him around the yard I dropped my phone and broke. So I'm phone less then my mom said she had something to talk about with me. So she sat me down and she told me that her friend had a daughter that she wanted to set me up on a date with her because she thought I was "ready". I told her I had a date but she didn't believe me and said she wasn't gonna take any excuses. She wouldn't take no. So I had to. I'm sorry.

Lizeth: So what? You couldn't borrow someone's phone and give me a call telling me all of this?

Joel: I KNOW! I'm such and idiot! Please! Just give me a second chance!

Lizeth: Do you know how it felt to ask a guy on a date and then to be stood up, sitting there for about an hour and a half? I was really hoping that you would say that you had an emergency but you had a date? And I had to find out about it through a picture on Instagram! It hurt so bad seeing you with that... girl! You have no idea! -tears started to form up- Joel I told you I was falling in love with you and then you go and do this! It's like you want to hurt me on purpose! -I said throwing up my hands as tears dropped from my eyes-

Joel: NO! I would never want to hurt you on purpose! I'm sorry! I'm an idiot! I know I am! -he came close and was now holding my hands-

God did I want to just throw myself at him right now and kiss him! He then released one hand from mine and wiped the tear that was running down from my cheek!

Joel: Liz, you mean the world to me! You're the girl that I want to kiss and hold in my arms. The girl that I want to call my girlfriend! Por favor, mi amor! Perdóname!

I just couldn't resist him. His had was on my cheek and he was looking straight into my eyes. He makes me feel so weak! When I'm around him my whole world gets lost. I lose my train of thought! Then I crashed my lips into his beautiful soft ones! I've never wanted to kiss someone so badly! Then I released myself from him. His hands where still on my waist.

Joel: Does this mean you forgive me? - He asked confused-

Lizeth: I don't know! -I said turning my back on him-

Joel: Look I made a mistake! Okay! Please Liz!

Lizeth: Look it's not just that! I've got a dark past that I don't want... I don't want you to know that part of me! It would hurt me to lose you!

Joel: Liz, whatever you did in the past is in the past! I love you! Okay I love you! You will never lose me! We will take things slow and whenever you want to tell me then tell me! But what matters is that I love you! Can't you see that?! -He was holding my head in his hands and looking at me straight in the eyes.-

Lizeth: I love you too! -then we kissed. This time it was more passionate than the last. Then it turned into a make out session!-

I woke up the next morning with the happiest smile on my face! I woke up with a very asleep Joel with his arms around me! I didn't want to move. I wanted to stay there forever! I felt so comfortable and secure in his arms.

Joel: Buenos días princesa! -He said opening his eyes and giving me a huge smile-

Lizeth: Buenos días hermoso! I wish we could stay like this forever!

Joel: Me too! But we can't! We have school today!

Lizeth: Ughh you're right! -I then separated myself from his strong grip around me and went into the bathroom!-

Zabdiel: Hey Liz, mom wants to know if... Joel! What are you doing here- I heard Zabdiel say in the distance as he opened the door. I quickly got out of the bathroom and saw him standing there in shock-

Lizeth: Hey, hey! Zabdi! Relax! Nothing happened. We just fell asleep. On the bright side ummm... we're now dating. -I said with a smile-

Zabdiel: I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should punch him in the face because it's my duty as the big brother or congratulate you guys and give you a hug!

Joel: I'd rather you chose the second one... you know... just saying!

We just laughed at Joel's comment. He did end up congratulating us and Joel went home to get ready for school. Before we knew it we were on our way to school. As I got out of the car I saw Joel and he ran towards me.

Joel: Is it okay if I kiss my girlfriend in public now? -He said with a smirk-

Lizeth: Yes! Yes it is. -Then he leaned in and gave me a soft kiss on he lips!

Zabdiel: Ayy no si! Los enamorados! Eww get a room! -he said sarcastically. Me and Joel released a small chuckle and walked inside. -

Joel was holding my hand as we walked inside and it felt amazing! I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. We went to my locker first and then to his. After what we went to meet up with our friends as usual.

Joel: Hey Guys! We have something to tell you! -He had a huge smile on his face-

Lizeth: We are dating now! -I said maybe a little too loudly!-

Yoyo: Ayeeee!!

Johann: About time!!

Claire: I'm so happy for you two! -She got up and hugged us-

The rest of our friends said the same.

Erick: In other exciting news! I was in the office and heard that a new student is coming here!

Jaime: Really! Is it a she or a he?

Erick: It's a she. She is starting Monday and she is really hot! -He said with a smirk-

Richard: Really? How do you know?

Erick: I mean, I'm just guessing! Ojalá si!

Christopher: Este pendejo! - He said laughing with his contagious laugh-

We all just laughed. I feel like things are gonna get better. I feel like things can only get better from here!
