(Hey guys!!!

I want to tell y'all - things are getting crazy at my end. I absolutely enjoyed writing this chapter. It is in two parts, but I can't tell you - I had literal chills when I wrote it and read it again. I hope you do too.

Let me know what you think of it. If you like it, hit the Vote!

PPS - At the end of the chapter, I've added a pic of what Dev is wearing.)

"WHAT?!?!" I exclaim as Harsh leaves the table and storms away from the scene. Iqbal Bhai had just told us that though there had been no unusual activity, there was only one number that had repeated long conversations with Viren's number - one that was worthy of suspicion.

Only problem, that number belonged to Vishwashesh Sanghvi.

Fortunately for me, Alana runs after Harsh - and I am desperately hoping she can calm him down before he does something without thinking things through. I, on the other hand, have my own person to handle.

After the minute of confusion that follows, while Dev sits frozen in his seat, I tell Iqbal Bhai, "Thank you for meeting us here and telling us, Iqbal Bhai. That was, umm - a little bit of a shock to us."

"Clearly", he agrees, "I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Anyway.. I will keep working and see what I can find - but don't lose hope. We should be able to find something soon.. okay?"

I nod and bid him his temporary farewell and gather my thoughts until he is out of sight. Then, I turn to the human statue next to me and place my palm over his fisted one, saying, "Dev."

Slowly, he takes a deep breath, but says nothing. "Dev, it's not as bad as you think", I say trying to calm him down.

"It's not as bad as I think", he repeats after me, his voice a hoarse whisper. Then, out of the blue, he says again, "It is Not As BAD as I THINK??!?!?! DEEKSHA ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND!??!?" His voice rises with every word and I am stunned. I have never seen Dev like this before.

Sure, I had seen him annoyed, even slightly angry; but never this furious.

"Dev", I say his name again, now scared to aggravate him further - though I know his anger is not towards me.. I mean, he had no reason to be mad at me, right? As I sit frozen in my spot, I notice his expression softening fractionally.

"I mean what I said", I affirm and unknowingly set off another explosion.

"Of course you mean what you said, you silly girl!" he grunts, "You always see the good - not the real! Ever since I came into your life, it has ONLY brought you problems. Back in school, ever since we met a second time - hell, now I suspect my brother has a hand in the ruin of your brother! He may be my best friend but even he knows better than to completely trust me. Only you are thick skulled enough to think I'm not at the root of all this - and though I don't know how my brother is connected to all this, I WANT to do what is right by you. All because of your stupid trust in me."

After a pause, he says the one thing that sets off my trigger, "I am bad for you, Deeksha. You really should get away from me."

Then, I snap.
