Forever Homebound

  Angel's touch, angel's hold,
It's what I felt when my skin turned cold
But I'm not ready for the Golden Gates in the sky,
So I refuse to fly
My home is Earth,
The angel's attempts to take me gives me a sense of mirth
I slap the angel's hand away,
Earth is where I choose to stay
I've defied destiny and I'll defy fate,
"I refuse to leave, for this is my home," I state
The angel found my words shocking,
My face is only mocking
The angel tries to convince me once more,
This is becoming quite the bore
Now I've come to my boiling point and I harshly shove the angel back,
At the Angel, I spat, "Try again, and I swear to God, I'll attack!"
This wasn't an empty threat,
And my determination to stay on this Earth was set
The Angel stares at me with widened eyes,
I could tell the Angel was searching for my lies
Too bad for the Angel that my lies are nonexistent,
The Angel is giving up on being persistent
Then the Angel leaves me be,
The Angel now sees what I see
For Earth is my home,
And on Earth, I will forever roam
