I sit here, cramped with so many people in this room,
We all wait, hoping our fate wouldn't end in doom
It's so cramped, I can hardly breathe,
We're trapped, and I can feel them seethe
Every few days, one snaps,
We're all punished, but that one is taken away, and never seem to come back
I've looked anywhere I can to find the person,
But as days pass, their chances of being seen seem to worsen
Where are they,
No one can say
Day after painful day I wait,
But not coming back seems to be their fate
Guards come in and pull at least half the people out of the room saying one thing,
"Come, come, it's showers you're taking."
They looked excited, it'd been weeks since any of us bathed,
I watched as they left, all so eagerly, such a promise leaving them in a daze
I was jealous of them, they were going to be clean,
Yet I'm still here, with the dirt in my cuts causing them to sting
But after a long while, they never came back,
I wondered if they'd been attacked
If the guards had possibly done something,
But when I figured it out, the reality was crushing
They weren't going to return,
Such a reality made my stomach churn
Where are they,
Dead, yet no one can say
